How the hell is Expendables 3 beating everything?

Other than the brilliant Oppenheimer teaser, this is the best trailer to date. The CGI water effects still look dodgy but the "let them fight" line will work to get everyone fired up for the film. It's a good closing argument, imo.

I would rather the MUTO not be even remotely similar to the awful Megaguiras, though. That was a crap monster from a crap film, so why bother to call back to it?

It's funny to still see so many people all excited that either Rodan or Mothra is in the film. Youtube and Twitter are filled with comments hoping it's an old TOHO monster. And if you're going to have a flying creature as an opponent, why not Rodan rather than a Megaguiras look-a-like?

I dunno, doesn't look anything like Megaguirus to me. Looks more like Gyaos than anything.

What trips me up is that on Tumblr especially (and Youtube), the sheer amount of people saying "omg Rodan," etc., has like skyrocketed.

I literally watched one of the people I follow on Tumblr have a back-and-forth with a young follower who expressed his disappointment when explained that the Mutos were in lieu of any Toho monsters.

This is the age of information.

It's been all over every geek site's stories about the movie.

It's not that hard.

I suppose it doesn't help that in this new trailer, the muto is in various shots that DO make it look like Rodan.

Oh, I see. Well, at least you now know how the enemy monsters actually look like now.

I suppose people might be disappointed by these not being classic toho monsters. However, I feel as thought the general audience/casuals won't really care that much.

I just want to see a toho monster or two in the sequel(if this film is successful enough). Not in the first film. But, that's just personal preference.

Just call the MUTO's "Thunder and Lightning" LOL

The differences should be noticeable and they should have divergent powers (IMO) I believe because of how each was incubated. For those who didn't watch the ASIA Trailer

So now I've seen enough, I've seen all the trailers, all the Comic Con footage and now this trailer which I loved when it showed RIGHT ON GARETH!!!

As for the people pumped to see Rodan....SHUT UP!!!! Let them think that if it gets more butts in the seats then great, I'm sure the mutos will not disappoint.
You must show no mercy, nor have any belief whatsoever in how others judge you... for your greatness will silence them all!

Unless there's a third creature we have seen the female MUTO. She's in several of the trailers and the toys that have been released.
