You know, it's hard to assess and article like this. It would be like sampling American fans' negative opinions about the feet and then stating "America thinks Godzilla has elephant feet." That being said, this Godzilla is bulky, but Japan gave us Heisei Godzilla.

I find that argument invalid unless they're specifically people who hated Heisei Godzilla, and even then SonOfG wasn't skinny. Not liking the design is fine, but Heisei Godzilla could barely walk, let alone waddle (and I'm a fan of that design).

Those comments don't really seem to be hating as much as they are poking fun at Godzilla's hefty size. No big deal.

I'm loving that even though its all CGI, the monsters look like props and suitmation. Especially that MUTO flying.

SO many things look "right", I can't wait to see this movie.

Absolutely LOVE that final shot of MUTO flying over swooping down towards Godzilla. Damn man, two more weeks!

Looking back on it, I can't see how anyone would have wanted Godzilla to be only 50 meters in this.

This Godzilla is the tallest one, and yet in that last shot of the Asia trailer (where the muto is flying at him), he still looks smaller than most of the buildings in San Francisco.

Imagine how small a 50 meter Godzilla would look in San Francisco.

I absolutely love that this trailer sets the muto(s) up as the threat to humanity. The little dialogue between Aaron Taylor and Watanabe's characters is spectacular in that it sets up exactly what we should expect to see.. That nothing can kill this/these crazy creature(s) except for this force of nature. Who by the way is no mere monster, but a god.

In my limited pool of non fans consisting mostly of family and coworkers, THEY cannot wait to see Godzilla destroy the Muto threat. This trailer was almost a bigger hit with them than it was with me. Almost.
