If it means anything. I told her that you can't have a Godzilla movie without human drama. It's been in every Godzilla film ever made. I think she's implying that she just wants to see a lot of Godzilla action in the movie, and not very little. I told her judging from what we've seen from all the TV spots and trailers, that's NOT likely to happen.

Monster Zero has limited monster action and that film is just fine. The original Godzilla had quite a buildup to Godzilla's reveal. Given everything that Edwards has said and the multiple references to Jaws, I expect a character-centric story that ultimately showcases the effects of the kaiju before ever revealing them in full with a big payoff at the end. I actually think that can be more satisfying rather than showcasing everything right away.

^I disagree. The Mutos look real cool from what we've seen, and their relationship with Godzilla gives them to opportunity to be very interesting opponents.

Well this sucks. But sometimes things have to be cut (which I doubt some fans will understand). It probably wasn't an easy decision. Hopefully it'll wind up on the blu.

Man, that's disappointing. I was looking forward to seeing how they were going to work him into the film. I guess that's something to look forward to on the Blu-ray, at least.

Sad, but this kind of thing happens all the time. You have quite a bit of footage and you have to edit it together in a way that flows well.

Daaaamn, I don't know how much you guys pay attention to this stuff but the massive rush of negativity over a cameo being cut out is astounding even to me. People saying they're no longer excited , it's a slap in the face to fans, etc.

People get cut from movies ALL THE TIME in editing. Directors have had to cut cameos, and even entire roles in editing.
Often times to benefit the film and it's run time. It's disappointing, sure , but lets not get crazy over a cameo getting cut. Stan Lee's cameo in Blade got cut and guess what? The movie still kicked ass.

Well except for Mac's. He likened Takarada's cameo as BS.

It's a nice touch to have in the movie but who cares at the end of the day. I was expecting him to do nothing more than just look out a window.

People who are complaining they aren't excited about the movie anymore... ya... see you opening weekend.
