The Board is Down with no repair ETR. My apologies but we don't have the money or resources to repair the issue. It is broken on the back-end and is only here to view as an archive. Thank you for your years of patronage.

I'm a middling Gamera fan. I enjoy the movies but am not crazy about them. I bought the S!F DVD of the first movie and blew off the rest. But for these price points I'm in.
While I plan on buying the Showa blurays, I also like having dubs to chill out to and wondered what release were the best to get for the Showa Gamera movies on DVD?
Heads up for NYC fans. Kim's Video on 1st Ave near east 7th Street is going out of business and they are having a 30% off sale. These new Gamera Blu-rays are already on the shelf for $14 each under the sale. Plus they have a bunch of kaiju DVDs in the back also on sale.
Fry's had them both, so I picked them up along with Space Battleship Yamato and Godzilla the Complete Animated Series. The A's are on TV as I'm typing this, so I haven't given any of them a look yet.
Let those who worship evil's might, beware my power...
Having watched the original Gamera and Gamera vs Barugon last night I can say I'm still not a fan of the first movie very much but GvsB is soooooooo much better in it's original Japanese. Sure the 2nd 1/2 drags a little bit and still the final fight between Gamera and Barugon is kinda short but it's a solid Showa era kaiju flick.
Now what made Daiei decide to go from this very adult kaiju flick and start producing the Gamera films as more and more kid friendly. I'd seriously like to know why they headed in that direction. GvsB is an extremely dark almost creepy movie with both kaiju looking pretty scary. I like it!
So glad I own these blu-rays! Picture quality is so nice!!!!
