Surprisingly, I've managed to stay away from the cam footage. I wanna watch it so badly but I'd rather enjoy it in the film.

I have to admit, I had to wonder whether I wanted to view that footage or not just to keep some surprise for the reveal when the movie comes out, but I caved. Concerning the footage, I'm in agreement with other people that it has a Spielberg-ian vibe about it... Jurassic Park-y, if you will. And that's good. Although I did see some things I was a little hung up about, it was good nonetheless. I only wish it could've been in better quality. If I hadn't seen all the scenes from the trailers, I wouldn't be able to make out about 90% of what was happening. I also noticed the unfinished CGI. But I'm content with what I saw. And I'm also glad that Desplat's score isn't so run-of-the-mill... it sounds like the soundtrack was made in the twilight years of the '90s, and I'm happy with it. I think it adds to that Spielberg-ian vibe within the context of the clip itself.

That footage was quite different than the SDCC footage. About the only similar scene was when

I like the end of this spot better than the reveal from SDCC.

Ya, I think I heard a traditional crocodile growl when Godzilla was walking pass the buildings, before being shot at.

BTW, anyone worried Godzilla would not have emotion.....he looks "OH GODZILLA! WHAT TERRIBLE LANGUAGE!" straight pissed off right there.

Saw it several more times. That Muto totally moves like a suitmation creature. Seeing it in motion it looks even more like something from Evangelion or a 90s or 2000s Super Robot anime. Interesting design choice.

Somehow I've managed to avoid watching the footage but I'm glad most of you liked it. That's a good sign. I'm gonna see if I can hold out so I can watch it in the theater.
