I'll be seeing this film in Japan this year :D

Can't wait! (For seeing a movie in Japan...not so much the film itself lol)

I like the Spidey suit.

The rest looks like it could have a LOT of the same pitfalls as the first film, and that's disappointing. I wanted this to be a hot mess, instead it looks kinda mediocre.

As much as I love Spider-Man I can't get excited about most of this. It's really bumming me out.

hrmm.

Not a fan (I didn't mind the helmet in the Raimi version so I guess just ignore me), but hopefully everything in this film coalesces into a singularity of awful. At least, then it can be enjoyed as a monument to dumb.

Oh my god, I just realized something: this new Spider-Man movieverse has basically turned Oscorp into a Tokusatsu villain organization. It's basically one of the evil organizations that create and then become the arch enemy of a Kamen Rider. Spider-Man gets his powers from Oscorp, he has to get revenge on Oscorp for the deaths of his parents, Oscorp creates all the monsters and supervillians than Spider-Man must fight, every single plot revolves around Oscorp...

The new Spider-Man is Kamen Rider!

If nothing else, I kind of dig the Electro theme. So this movie has that going for it.

^I think after all these years Zimmer finally lost me. I loved the Dark Knight trilogy scores, but he was losing me with Man of Steel. His work on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is obnoxious and lacks cohesion. Some of the worst stuff I've heard from him as of late.

In other news, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 sits at 61% on Rotten Tomatoes officially making it the least liked Spider-Man movie by critics. That gust of wind you felt was Mr. Raimi's sigh of relief.

Since Oscorp is dead set on creating a race of supervillians (because reasons), I think it would be best for Parker to assemble a team of fellow youngsters and give them Spider-powers and a costume similar to himself in order to better stem this onslaught.

... of course, they all can't be dressed exactly like Parker's Spider-Man, so Parker would retroactively become the Red Spider-Man and then there'd be Blue, Yellow, Green Spider-Men and whatever. Also, I feel like they should get giant vehicles that snap together to make a giant robot, because there is absolutely no guarantee that once they defeat a villain he/she might not get big.
