It's not just the derpy teeth. Look at how horribly thin his chest region is. But don't worry. It'll still sell for like $100. e_e.

Looks like crap. Crap that every single apologist of this line will shout you down about and tell you it's a masterpiece.

I'll keep my GFW Gigan vinyls and die-cast figures, thank you.

Mine should be coming in next week, so I should have a see for myself.

I'm not seeing any problems aside from the teeth though.

yeah those teeth do stand out in an very odd way. They should have been shear type like a shark rather than conical like what you see on cetaceans (dolphins, Orcas). I believe they were shear type in the movie. If true, then this would be one inaccurate molding. Maybe they went with conical as it would not be brittle. Like what some of you talked about before on your teeth breaking for Mechagodzilla Heisei, they made it conical to last better without breaking. Maybe that was it.
I can hear really well and I am STRONGER than ever!

Eh, if it really bothers me I'll shade it with a Real Touch Gundam Marker. I haven't seen any other reviews anywhere. More should pop up soon.

That picture makes the figure look ugly. If that's what the retail version looks like then I'll pass on it until it goes on sale.

Monsterarts Apologists vs Vinyl Elitists. The factional difference is dumb enough to be a Gundam series.

^ Speak for yourself, I simply buy what I like.

If a figure looks like crap, what's wrong with saying so? I skipped out on some X Plus stuff because some of the designs looked off (G75 as an example). I just happen to enjoy their stuff more...but SH has the appeal of being posable. Gigan looks meh to me, tho I admit this one of the worst pics of him I've seen. It's one of those unflattering pics that doesn't even show his good attributes.

Not that it's going to help matters much yet, but that's guys pics of all sorts of figures are bizarrely notorious for being more unflattering to the subjects than they ought to be. It's a good way to get some early opinions of Gigan going, but I wouldn't make judgment calls based entirely on his images alone. Only some of his shots seem to make Gigan's torso look thin even for FW Gigan's design, while others look fine. Definitely one I want to see with loads more images before I dismiss it, though I'm not happy with the teeth at the moment.

For as much as I loved them nine years ago and still appreciate them now, the Chogokin Gigans have enough issues that I wouldn't be holding onto them as definitive articulated FW Gigans.

i think the armored neck is vast improvement over the unarmored one

But the teeth still bother me... maybe that explains the pose on the box cover

Wow, those teeth are horrible.

They looked so much better on the prototype. What happened?

I'll still end up getting him, but I'll wait a while to see if he drops in price (of course, given Battra is STILL $65, it could be a while).

I'm not sure I get the appeal of this figure (or the line for that matter). The 8 inch vinyl figures are essentially perfect. If you want high articulation you have the Diecast which looks better fyi and if you want an High End collectable you have the X Plus. There's literally no niche that hasn't been filled yet for the FW Gigan.

Well thanks for pointing this one out guys! Honestly I think I'd rather get myself a copy of the old 9 inch Bandai vinyls from 2004 over little ugly stubby teeth. :D

Gigan looks pretty boss. I want the Showa version though, the FW Gigan gets so much attention these days.
