You know, I've never had a feeling one way or the other about the X-Men. They were always the most impenetrable of superhero books, with so many characters and books and sub-teams and crossovers and their huge (and I mean huge) popularity through my youth...it always seemed oppressive to me, and I never really found a comic, TV episode, or movie of theirs that really captured my fancy. I suppose the second movie came the closest, because I liked Nightcrawler.

Spider-Man and the X-Men have always been my favorite sides to the Marvel universe, mainly due to growing up with the '90s cartoons. I remember seeing the poster for the first X-Men movie and going nuts.

His attorneys seem pretty adamant that this is all 100% false, but I guess we'll see as it unfolds further. I'm hesitant to say anything about this specifically because if it's true, then Synger is a despicable person and I honestly WILL think twice about financially supporting anything he's attached to....but if it's false then the accuser is a despicable person for attacking someone with just about the worst allegation you can level at a person.

Apparently the person being charged along with Singer has been found guilty before. And the lawyer is one of the ones that brought in Kevin Clash.

I don't know who to believe either, but there's some history that shows he could be guilty.

As a fan of some of his work, and for his own sake, I hope this is all false.

Maybe Godzilla is framing him.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is true, unfortunately. There's been talk about Singer's preference for younger boys, and lack of caring about whether they consent or not, since the '90s. No smoke without fire like they say. This kind of stuff is probably much more common in Hollywood than we'd like to think. :(

Another thing, it makes me wonder about Ian McKellen, whom I have a lot of respect for. He and Singer are friends, and McKellen doesn't seem like someone that'd be ignorant about this kind of stuff, he's very into gossip, especially concerning the gay men of Hollywood. If it's as much of an open secret as I've heard, it's a bit sad to think he might've always known and is okay with it.

Good competent lawyers is what Singer needs..If he is guilty than i wonder how this will effect his career??
But on the other hand if this accuser is lying than a firm message needs to be sent to all that making up accusations of that kind of nature should not be tolerated. Always remember that it has to be proven beyond a doubt that a person has been abused.
What saddens me is that anyone can make an accusation like that and win in court. If the person is guilty than the accused should be punished accordingly.
But if the accuser is lying than that person too should be punished and by that i don't mean a slap on the wrist and an (oh sorry i have mental issues.) response. The accuser if found lying should face time for it and not be allowed to roam around looking for their next victim to accuse.
I am not taking sides here i just think there should be a law that protects those that are innocent of said crimes is all i am saying.

^I agree with that sentiment, which is why I'm hesitant to comment on the story in general.

Too often we throw in with a "what a scumbag!" response, and then when it turns out to be untrue, we never respond in kind to that.

I got to say, this last trailer has really been the only trailer that kind of got me excited for the movie. Not hugely so, but the other ones just didn't really charge me up. The ASM2 trailers made me more excited than the X-men stuff, which kind of reinforces my thoughts that ASM2 is going to be a delightful train wreck while X-Men: Wolverine's Time Machine is going to be surprisingly milquetoast.

Early reviews for this are quite positive. My favorite quote is featured on Rotten Tomatoes:

"It's a film that serves as a prequel, a sequel and a bridge between the two. And, most of all, it serves as a giant f*** you to X-Men: The Last Stand."

IGN gave it an 8.8 I was honestly expecting higher than that. Then again I was expecting a lower score for Godzilla and it turned out higher.

This movie was fantastic. Easily up there with First Class and X2. Acknowledges and retcons X3.
Downright ignores Origins.

I'm on my phone now so I'll expand on that tomorrow. 'but I highly recommend this one.

Ah, good to hear! I'm looking forward to this one. I'm little surprised it didn't perform better last night (it made only $8.1 Million, less than ASM2, Captain America, and Godzilla), although it sounds like there were a bunch of extenuating circumstances.

This movie is great. I'll echo MFW that it's a top 3 X-Men film and is probably my favorite of the bunch.

I liked it. All the big movies I've seen this year (Captain America, Spider-Man, Godzilla) have been very entertaining. It's probably the funniest and most playful of Singer's X-flicks (especially the Quicksilver stuff). It's basically the movie version of a large-scale comic book retcon and it's very emotionally satisfying.

All that said, DOFP is a very nice companion to Singer's two films (it was great to hear the X2 theme again) and First Class. I hope future X-films like Apocalypse make the most of this clever re-jigging.

X-Men Days of Future Past - Wow, the trailers were completely misleading on this thing. Not only is it not just a giant cluster**** of a movie, but it is well written and has great character development. The only thing I can complain about is the lack of Zimmer's Magneto theme since the music is done by Ottman. The acting is extremely good and it focuses on a small number of characters just like First Class did. There is a scene after the credits. Overall, I give this movie an 8/10 and it might very well be the best X-Men movie thus far.
