I'm disappointed. I thought Elizabeth Olsen would be topless running around in fear for the entire movie. Shucks.

^Yeah I can't do that. I mean, I signed up for the chance to go to LA, but no way I can be going to London around then.

CONFIRMED RELEASE DATE??????????

Originally it was 5/16 (which is what I've planned for)... but I am also seeing and hearing 5/15 as "official" opening day!?! Which is it?????????

If it's actually opening a day earlier, does that mean that the sneak previews are happening on Wednesday nite ...or not at all and it just opens Thursday? I am a tad confused and could really use some clarification. I arranged to get Friday 5/16 off so that I can 1) go to the sneak premiere on Thursday and then 2) check out the film multiple times on opening day, Friday. I just need to know if I need to recalibrate my days off. Aggghhhh!!! Please help!!! I truly NEED this info in order to make my life... ummm... you know... complete and stuff. Bless you all! :D

I'm sure it's something like what most movies do where the official release date is the Friday, but showings will begin the Thursday before at like 7PM.

Rule 34. Yay? Someone move the discussion to Nazis and Hitler and the thread will be complete.

The movie's site , now has music playing, which is probably a sample of the score. I like it.

I hate to say it, but it sounds kind of generic, "Remote Control"-esque to me. Hopefully there will be something more than cliche percussion loops in the final score. Other than Godzilla's feet, this is the only element I've been disappointed in so far (assuming this is actually part of the score).

Damn you, Hans Zimmer and your influence! ;)

I am just praying that there will be someone wearing a "REPENT! THIS IS THE END!" sandwich board during one of the crowd panic scenes. Oh yes, and a child dropping a stuffed animal which then gets trampled on by the crowd.

I actually like it.. even if it isn't anything official.. You can hear nods to all kinds of composers, from Masaru Satoh; Akira Ifukube, to Hans Zimmer; Michael Giacchino. I don't really see it being Godzilla's theme.. but I it serves as a great atmospheric piece.

Hard to evaluate the track based on that clip, but now it's stuck in my head....

That music starts off sounding like something out of World Of Warcraft.

I can totally imagine that music leading into a modern version of the classic Godzilla theme.

It's lacking context, so I don't really know what emotion it's supposed to be invoking. I want to see when it's used within the context of the movie. It's passable, but even coming from artists I like, whenever I heard new music it's always "meh" the first couple listen throughs. It takes time for me to build the emotional bond.
