You're delusional if you think that a minute-long scene where Rodan attacks New York, with no overt 9/11 imagery, in a direct-to-DVD release with no major marketing, is equivalent to a big-budget blockbuster that heavily uses tsunami and nuclear disaster imagery in its global marketing plan. I'm not saying I agree with the criticisms 100%, but trying to compare Final Wars to this movie in that regard is laughable.

Am I the only person that thinks its very unlikely that anybody would think of Man of Steel if they kept that scene in?

Hell, I actually liked Man of Steel and I feel like people have already forgotten all about that movie.

My first thought on seeing the concept picture was of the end of Godzilla Raids Again and the beginning of King Kong vs. Godzilla (and a bit of Gammera the Invincible now that I think of it), but since Legendary produced Man of Steel and this movie I can see where the MoS comparison would be foremost in their minds.

But then again, the Kryptonian ship being found in ice really wasn't all that big of a deal in the overall story, so yeah I doubt the scenes would have been big comparison to the average movie goer. Someone might try to make a big deal of it later on and blow the whole coincidence way out of proportion though.
