Stopped by TRU at lunch again today looking for the Jakks figure, still no luck, but when i saw the "atomic roar" version, i actually liked it a lot more in person than i had when i saw pictures of it online.

For whatever reason I expected it around November.

Stopped in my local TRU today. They had the Jakks Goji....man that thing is MASSIVE but honestly it looks kinda crummy. Not sure I'd ever buy that. The only G2014 that was appealing was the Roar/Beam Godzilla. The rest look very meh to me, or maybe my love for the design is waning severely.

I dunno, the Jakks still looks the best to me, the roar figure is okay, but the head is too long. The gimmick itself would have been better had it been activated by a spine or by his tail or something other than his legs.

I think Jakks looks like trash. The figure is truly massive, so I understand the appeal...but after seeing it up close I was not impressed. Also, all the Bandai USA G14 toys have been underwhelming except for the chibis and maybe the destruction pack.

I'm still looking into the NECA fogure ....

I really like my Jakks Godzilla, but I will admit that he's not a very high quality figure; the seam in his torso stands out too much, his spines are rubber and are way too short (why shorten them at all if they're rubber!? >.>) and don't even get me started on the screw holes lol. Also, the paint on his teeth could have been way better, all in all, I give the figure a solid 7/10.

I really want to get my hands on the 12" tall NECA figure, going by the newest footage we've seen I think it'll be the most screen accurate toy representation of LegendGoji until the Monsterarts figure is revealed.

I don't necessarily think the G2014 toys are trash, they are a low-ish budget movie tie-in line from Bandai of all things. They're fine for what they are. Now, as an adult collector I feel like the NECA or the MA are the things I'll be most excited to get, but for all of the super cheap aimed at kids toys the Jakks Pacific thing is the most impressive and the thing I'm looking forward to most.

The only toys I like thus far are the SD figures. Coming from a non-collector maybe that doesn't say much, but maybe it says a little something about the quality of the figures that have been unveiled thus far.

im not sure why so many people knock NECA but give SHMA a pass, i have had considerably more issues with SHMA joints than I have had with all my NECAs put together and multiplied
