Are people really spending an entire page on whether or not they heard Johnson's accent slip? That happens all the time... in the Dark Knight, Gary Oldman's accent slips several times... and he's one of the best actors alive, IMO. We don't even know if that take will be in the film.

And others are critiquing his delivery of "Can we kill it?", as if its an indicator of his performance?

Talk about over analyzing.

It's a personal problem with me because when I hear an Aussie accent I tend to start quoting Mad Max 2.

"Lets talk to this GODZILLA Lord of the Wasteland! He seems like a reasonable man..."

I can't help myself.

I've never seen any of Aaron Taylor Johnson's work before. (I know he did Kick Ass 1 & 2, but I never saw them, nor anything else he's been in.) As such, this will be my first exposure to him as an actor. I pray he does a good job since he's more or less the main protagonist. Given my choice I'd much rather he underact his part than chew the scenery. The human drama WILL be very important in the final analysis of this film though, since I'm sure there'll be a LOT more people time than monster time. Hopefully the quality of Bryan Cranston's professional work inspired ATJ to step up his game and not just phone in the part. Just as long as he isn't as craptastic as G-98's Maria Pitillo. By comparison, her work in the Sony Godzilla film made Tor Johnson's performance in Bride of The Monster seem like Lawrence Olivier. Ack.

That shot with him rising up next to the Golden Gate Bridge looks awesome! The more glimpses we get, the more he really does just absolutely look like Godzilla, rather than the the impressions the toys and other things give off (sort of a "yeah it's Godzilla, but I don't like this, and this doesn't look so great, but....."). There are a couple of shots in there that really do look like CG recreations of G2K Godzilla. Just goes to show you really can't judge these things until you've seen the movie itself.

Just over a month to go! :D

Nice to see footage of Godzilla being hit by the military. Really put it out there he's invincible.

Well there goes all the worries that tank shells, missiles, and guns will kill Godzilla.

Japanese netizens are insisting this movie will be a MURRICA! Chest Thumping Michael Bay style movie.
