They seem like a hit with a lot of the kids according to my friends who work at Toys R Us.

As for the design itself, I rank it over pretty much all the other Heisei Godzillas save for 84 Goji and BIOGOJIOMG. But lower than most of the Millenium and Showa designs.

I really wanna see the Monsterarts for this guy.

Or the Mutos for that matter.

EDIT: Oh and I love me some Shaldolls too Broly. I got a softspot for Grunt mechas and army building in general. Tanks, Transformers grunts, military, grunt mechas from Gundam. They make for neat diorama pieces.

Do we have a definitive pic yet of the "Battle Damaged" SD Godzilla?? What exactly about him is damaged beyond what appears to be a hole in his leg?

He appears to just have some scratches and scars on him. Nothing really bad.

So Bandai is only releasing the Gimmick figures and the figure sets? I wonder if there will be any 6.5 scale figures. Was there some kind of agreement that only Neca would be releasing "normal " figures? If that's the case then the Giant Godzilla may be the only 2014 toy I buy. The other stuff i may buy later when they are reduced a lot. That figure is worth the high price because of its size. I do not care for NECA'S products much. I have not bought any of there figures before. More articulation means more cost. I just want cheaper statue figures with no sound or anything. I do not play with the stuff. I like it cheap.

Gotta say, that figure is nice but the side angle makes he upper jaw stick out and looks a little derpish. He looks pretty good with his jaw open.

I went on a little hunt yesterday looking for the chibi Godzilla and Hokmuto. Stopped by Toys R Us and was disappointed that they didn't have them. I did get a good look finally at Atomic Roar Godzilla, though. He legitimately frightened me when I tried him out. Seriously, it made me jump.

I was almost tempted to get the destruction pack, but I only want the monsters.

I played with an Atomic Roar figure at my TRU the other day as well, he's pretty cool, but I didn't really feel the need to get him. The Destruction City is AWESOME. It was the first bit of G2014 merchandise I bought (well, besides napkins lol), the Godzilla figure in the set is really detailed for being so small, more detailed than the Jakks figure I must admit. The Muto is pretty cool too, lacks articulation though. Godzilla can at least swivel his arms and legs.

My TRU had some of the Bandai stuff today and my god are they ugly as ****. It looks like the upper body wants to jump out of the lower torso and one of them did not even have a movable jaw.

I think the best Bandai stuff so far are the destruction set related toys. I really want to get me some Chibis but I can't find them anywhere. The nuke breath Godzilla seems legit.

I think the best one of this entire lot is the 2 foot Godzilla. Quite the beast.

I want to see more from NECA's Godzilla but I really think I'll hold out for the Monsterarts. I have no clue as to when that will be released but sources point to the summer. I'm guessing it's Japan's release of Godzilla (July 25 MY BIRTHDAY :D)
