But to say it's not, really, a pretty straightforward, even traditional Godzilla design is pretty laughable.

This design is awesome. Way better then most of the designs that have come before, I'm looking at you Godzilla 2000...

I'm sure a lot of fans here on the forum want Son of Godzilla/dead eyes horror show, but this is an actual hollywood movie that is trying to be more then a kiddie film.

Yes. BioGoji is a fantastic design, but would look utterly silly in a realistic movie. Get over it.

At the end of the day everyone complaining will be at a midnight show, and lose it when Godzilla looks awesome looking as a he destroys and fights things. End of story.

Son Of Godzilla aired on Turner Classic Movies.

I don't see any of those "serious" and "mature" films from the Heisei era airing on that channel.

I agree that the design of Godzilla should not influence anyone from not seeing the film. I hated the GINO design, yet still saw the movie, and to this day can still find popcorn enjoyment from it.

I am in the camp of not loving the new Godzilla Design. Yet I still can not wait to see it in action.

Crazy idea: Is this Godzilla perhaps semi-quadrupedal? That is, does he primarily walk on all fours, but can rear up on his hind legs when he wants to, like a bear? It would kind of explain those hanging arms...bears do that when they're standing on their hind legs...heck, so do dogs, for that matter. The stumpy feet would fit that scenario, too. Hard to imagine him hoofing along on those things all the time. What doesn't fit are the very human-like hands with opposing thumbs, and of course the fact that every image and toy we've seen so far has him standing.

Still, kinda makes you wonder...

I certainly never said that the SON OF GODZILLA suit was great....

It is the worst in all of Toho s films.....My point was just that the FEET and the FINS of that horrible suit were better.....nothing else...just the feet and the fins.

I m also not judging the film based on Godzilla s appearance....

BUT their design could have been closer...

The small feet is a feature of a animal who walk on four.....Fourtunotly it doesnt look like that with BEARZI ....so why the bear feet???

They always change things for the sake of changing things or maybe so that the copyrights of the toys is all theirs to command....
