As far as calling him by name, I'm almost certain that they'll say it as least once. I don't expect them, nor do i care nor want, them to be dropping his name every second. I'm fine with the Man of Steel kind of "Superman? Uhhh that's what they've been calling him..." type thing. We've seen this same formula used in almost every super hero film, only to be used more commonly as sequels are spawned. And if this movie has a sequel, or numerous sequels, I'm sure we'll get to a point where they use his name A LOT. But in this first film, I'm sure we'll hear it at least once, even if it's a very subtle way. Hell, even the 1998 Godzilla film did that.

Now as far as people getting on other fans' cases due to everyone not agreeing over the design or potential story, I think everyone has their own preference, and that's fine! My issue with people complaining is when they get SUPER nitpicky over little things that probably aren't going to matter all that much at the end of the day, such as his feet. Listen, if it were up to me, I'd go with the T-rex looking type feet and throw in an extra toe to have the traditional 4 toes, but at the end of the day, he's still got toes and claws, so it works with me. Or here's a bigger, more recent example on this particular board, BIOGOJI! At the end of the day, as long as I can look at this design and say "oh yeah, it's Godzilla!" then I'm cool with it. Is it my favorite design of all time? No. Do I approve and like it a lot? Yeah. Outside of the normal characteristics that SHOULD be there(bipedal, rows of spines, upright, reptilian, traditional roar), I don't expect him to look like we've seen him before. Hell, I WANT him to look different. I think as fans, we should always want to see something different in situations like this, SO LONG as they don't change any characteristics that will change his character.

First shot of Godzilla's atomic breath in that mobile game. Mouth's opening pretty wide.

The giant Godzilla poster at Warner Bros. Studios has been relocated to a more prominent spot where motorists can't miss it:

I'll give you the arm thing. That poster sucks, but until we see how G moves and such I see no reason to worry.

So much of this new Godzilla merch looks goofy as hell. I'm sure he'll look ok in the context of the film but the shirts and posters make him look fugly.

YES WE CAN SAY.....THIS LOOKS LIKE A GREAT MOVIE...A GREAT RE-WRITTE OF THE ORIGINAL STORY....

Unfortunotly it is not a great Godzilla re-design.....

SURE its a 100 times better than GINO but ...they are still trying too hard to re-invent him.....we re gonna take this from a bear, and that from a dog....hey guys how about ...inspiring yourself from GODZILLA ...PERIOD....there is 28 premious films to fool around with.

Who decided that he should stand and look like a BEAR....The head is good but we ve seen better....
At least he is standing up....that s very good....

I realy HATE the arms hanging down.....what the hell is that.....???.The roar is barely reminisent.
THE FEET ARE THE WORST EVER.....and the FINS ARE TERRIBLE....even the SON OF GODZILLA suit has better feet and fins.

NOW rumours has that his fins won t glow.....(its like having Superman but he doesnt shoot heat beam from his eyes anymore....cause its not realistic. I hope its just a rumour.

It still look like a mighty good film but the re-design of Godzilla ....CLOSE BUT NO CIGAR.
hey
