I REALLY hope that Godzilla's fire breath is not spoiled at all in the marketing. It should be a really neat experience to see it for the first time on the big screen.

Also, my wife is the manager of a Children's museum and would you know it, they're going to do a "Godzilla-themed" week during the week of the release. Tons of science experienments about explosions, dinosaurs and even a "Make your own monster suit and trash a model city" activity. :D

And strangely enough I played no part in this. Someone in the executive branch must be a huge Godzilla nut lol.

A) I agree. Leave something for me to marvel at in the theaters. I may not even watch any new trailers that pop up out of desire to keep myself from being any more spoiled than the little I am right now.

B.) That's awesome. I assume you'll be taking a day to check out the activities?

At some point they are going to need to show the Muto Godzilla is fighting so general audiences know that this is not just a solo-Godzilla movie. This is actually a selling point since a complaint I've heard for the first is a lack of battles. It's good for generating a lot of speculation with the first trailer, but now the media block is off it's time to spill the beans.

Also, regardless of how I feel about the design, what has been shown in the trailers has so far looked really good.

The more and more footage we see, the more excited I get about the quality of the cinematography. Some really nice looking shots.

Looks like a dragonfly swooping down to me, with the tiny legs on the bottom of the thorax. Still, this'll probably trigger another round of Rodan/Mothra speculation. :?

Here's what it comes down to: They need to stop pussyfooting around with the Airport scene and actually show it in a trailer soon. Gareth has been shopping that footage around, so I imagine at some point they will show it. Hopefully in Trailer #2.

Not gonna lie, you can easily see why someone would think that's Rodan. Everything about this movie is awesome so far. Great looking shots in the movie.

Numerous people on all different kinds of movie message boards are excited most about seeing Rodan, lol.

Still think it's a mistake not to include a classic monster, even if it's just in a post credits scene. A lot of fans would mark-out big time.

And the effects better not be finished, because the boat scene looks simply awful.

The posture of Godzilla looks just like a bear standing up, whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you.

The boat scene and the flooded streets both look pretty bad.

I think we'll get one final trailer in the next few weeks and I'd be very surprised if they didn't have the airport scene in it. It'd be a big mistake not to show another monster, and also, not to have a proper Godzilla reveal in the last trailer.

I didn't notice any particularly bad-looking effects shots.

granted I was watching it on a small screen at work, but well...it looks fine/good to me.

I personally wouldn't want any Toho monsters in general. As much as I love seeing updated designs of old monsters, I'd rather have more characters in the Godzilla universe than just rehashing the same character over and over again. I think Godzilla lone, can already fill in the role of being rehashed.

I personally don't mine the small plates on his this Godzilla designs. I think the creature designer wanted to have Godzilla have the ability to roll around with those. Any normal creature with Plates as large as the Original Toho Godzilla would of died if they were ever knocked down on their back, so having a smaller more believable plate design was a good way to go.

I cannot wait to see this later... with sound... in full screen. (lol).

That shot of the pines reflected in the school bus is like something out of a bad dream. I'm really loving all this.
