Really hoping we get some kind of press release from Sony soon. I mean, we know next to nothing about these, and are currently just going off of incomplete/inaccurate Amazon listings.

Yeah, I watched it last night, but everything I saw was fullscreen. It was the same master that's been available on DVD since 2000 or so.

I saw GvKG a week our so ago and recorded last night's airing and both were pan & scan. Both airings were on Encore Family which TWC only has as a SD channel ( not sure if Encore offers that channel in HD at all).

Anyway, now the real question is if they fixed the subtitles or if they're still using the dubtitles?

Either way this is excellent news. I have old VHS copies a friend made for me from the Japanese laserdiscs for all the 90's Heisei films. Now I can toss those.

Just wonder if the end credits will be fixed on Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla II?

I'm only getting GvsKG/GvsM and SOS/GFW for certain.

I like GvsKG and SOS/GFW so I want those.

The others....I might get simply because I currently have VHS rips for GvsSG and GvsD that I watch...but boy, if GvsMGII and GxM could somehow have wound up on a disc together, I'd not touch it, as I'm more than fine owning the DVDs for those two.

Two things I'd love to know.
a) Original full credits on Destroyah?
b) Will the Japanese titles still be covered up with the cheesy white letter box on the Millenium Films (small thing that has always annoyed me)

I'm picking them all up.

I haven't seen GvKG, GvM'92, GvSG, or GvD in Japanese in over 10 years (about the last time I watched by old '90s fansubbed copies from Video Daikaiju), so I'm HIGHLY looking forward to those. Hopefully they're planning GMK, G2K, and GxMG to be released later...?

^I could see Sony's other 3 films being released to coincide with the home video release of Godzilla '14, just like these are coinciding with the theatrical release.

I just noticed the "theatrical trailers / teasers" bit with these sets. That's certainly more than what the original Heisei discs offered. Good to see the behind-the-scenes pieces still in place with Tokyo S.O.S./Final Wars.

Alright....I'm superpumped for these. I've preordered all of them. I just hope they do in fact have restored credits and brand new subtitles (keeping my fingers crossed). I believe we will have the movies uncut this go around but I'm still leery on the subtitle tracks. Hopefully Sony will steer clear of the dubtitle tracks we got for some of the films and give us accurate subs.

It's going to be very interesting seeing all the custom covers that people come up with for the Sony releases, at the very least I imagine that many of us will want to have the movies in release order.

Thats the most exciting part about this release. Is that we can split them up into order.

While I can understand people that want to split them up, with cool custom covers and the like, personally I'll be keeping them as is. Partly because I like to keep releases as are (a little OCD-ish I realize) and mostly because I welcome all the shelf space it'll save.
