I say we take Death Ghidorah's little origin, and copy and paste into the next Godzilla movie, and call it a day. :P

I was thinking something like this, the smog monster for movie 2 and King Ghidorah for the third.

I cannot comment on the Rebirth of Mothra series as I have not seen them, but Desghidorah is an awesome looking kaiju. And it's origin is pretty cool from what I've read. Would welcome it in an new movie.

Godzilla's Revenge is a slice of life movie that would be made by the likes of someone like Terry Gilliam if he decided to be lighthearted. As an adult I think it was kind of a poignant ending.

I would be happy for the second movie to have King Ghidorah and Mothra. Not in a GMK sense, but in a Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster sense. Having a plot revolving around Xenobiology and a plot template that lends itself to mystery would fit in with the Legendary Godzilla, at least what we know to date.

I'm not exactly how you could incorporate Mothra and the faries in a 'believable' way, but I think it can be done.

For a third film? Gigan/Mechagodzilla/Cyborg something could be a lot of fun, depending on how they've taken the tone of the franchise.

How would you react if you came across Godzilla riding a four-wheeler in the desert?

On the spinoff of my podcast, which focuses on trailers and predictions, we talk Amazing Spider-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Godzilla AND we have an interview with Ed Rosek, a Las Vegas firefighter who may appear in the new film (assuming his scenes don't get cut). Ed tells us about his experience on the set, tells us what to look for when it comes to spotting his scene in the film, and gives us a piece of news we haven't heard anywhere else (which basically means I HOPE it's true since I lack a media empire with which to double-check)

Interview with Ed starts around the 18/19 minute mark (and Godzilla talk continues from there with my cohost and our guest commentator for the episode absolutely SHOCKING me with their predictions for the new Godzilla film). We just did this as something fun, given the whole Mothra Fairies mixup (Ed is one of the people on the floor of that hotel building who people thought was a Shobijin). We got a piece of news, maybe it's just a piece of gossip, but we're just two dudes talkin' on a podcast that like 10 people listen to, so what's the harm if Ed misled us? G-Fans think we spread lies and rumors? Hasn't hurt Godzilla-Movies.com that much...

If a sequel gets made, I would love it to be a sort of remake of Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster.

Great podcast episode! Loved your thoughts on G'98 especially. Very cool tidbit of news you got from Ed!

I am SO looking forward to your guest appearance on MovieWars tackling GFW, even if I'm siding with Trev and Eric

So...It‘s Ghidorah now. I‘m kinda speechless.

I like Ghidorah but IMHO I don‘t think Toho had really done him/it enough justice in terms of effect. A certain practical effect created dragon by Tsuburaya Production still remains as the most memorable ‘’serpentine dragon‘’ kaiju to me. ~ Natsunomeryu from Episode 9 of Ultraman Max. But then again, it has only one head. XD

Gigan works great because it just looks like something that was cobbled together from several different sources. The black ops scientists working within the MUTO organization could say that it was simply a failed experiment... but rather than scrap it they gave it the cyborg once-over and so now it's a sort of remotely-guided zombie cyborg thingy. Zombie movie/TV fans would dig on that and we fans would get a sweet Gigan upgrade for the new series.

@Jelly. Fun listen. You did a good job with Ed's interview. He seemed like a very genuine guy who just happened to do something on a lark. Hope he does get his name in the credits.
Agreed with every word of your review of the hot pile of skreeonk that was 98.
