If Godzilla were to die in the film I would be alright with it. Don't see the story using a son in the next film though. My scenario would be that this film is about the son. The 54 Godzilla that seems so huge would be the father and the star in the next film.

Well it could be done right in a very man vs nature way. By the way if it's a King Ghidorah film it could be

No to any son of Godzilla.

One of the appealing things about the character (to me at least) is his loner nature. He's a freak, the only one of his species. And a mean, nasty $OB on top of it. Having a kid pretty much undermines all of that.

Ghidorah as an alien is my favorite origin for him. So that's the route I hope they go with.

Ghidorah as a world-destroying behemoth is my favorite origin. How you incorporate that into a realistic Godzilla universe? Not sure. Are alien creatures that much of a stretch compared to Godzilla? I suppose not, but Ghidorah's alien origin is by far the best.

an alien via meteor. And make him play up on some conspiracy theories out there about rogue planets and meteors that the government is keeping a secret.

Some real Coast 2 Coast tier stuff.
