This sounds less like it has anything to do with the actual film and possible sequels, and more that it has to do with the way Legendary conducts business/contracts. Godzilla just happens to be the project that Legendary is being called out on.

The three producers want their piece of the pie and us bystanders have no idea if they are worth what they are asking. If they got the rights to Godzilla they deserve SOMETHING. Maybe not as much as what they are asking. As for developing the story... maybe they assisted in the first draft(s) of the script but it seems like when Edwards came in it became his and Tull's baby. Since Edwards didn't like the script they changed it and maybe that is why Tull feels they don't deserve a piece of the cake. Just speculation.

These producers want 3% of the first dollar gross of the movie makes, finders fees or whatever it is and a little over a million dollars for this movie and these dumb asses didn't sign a contract? They had an oral agreement? Now they have to prove they did all this work. Geesh.

I remember hearing a story from Louis C.K that a producer stole Pootie Tang from him and he was even warned by Chris Rock that the producer would take the movie from him. It's a vicious business and I guess that it happens with bigger more important movies.

The truly terrible thing there is that Pootie Tang was made.

I'm loving the gorilla stance it appears to have. Though am I the only one to notice that it has what appear to be horse hind legs?

MUTO looks a little more detailed than on the first look. I think it's more or less confirmation that you won't get a whole lot of observable detail on a toy that's a couple inches in height.

I still wouldn't say I'm in LOVE with the design or anything, but I honestly like it better than probably any new Godzilla foe (what few there are) in the Millenium series.

I think the Muto looks quite awesome. I stand by what I said before: very Ultraman or Evangelion, very Japanese.

I just loooove the Godzilla in that set, walking up to my Toys R Us when it opens to see if they accidentally put any out early lol. Doubtful, but I can hope right?

I don't want to pass much of a judgment on a little action figure, but this Muto design might be an acquired taste. Frankly, I just think it's weird. I can see it fighting Gamera or a tokusatsu superhero more easily than I can imagine Godzilla fighting it. I do want to see how it looks in the film proper, though. That might convince me otherwise.
