Some people just will not like certain aspects of a design, it's just what this fandom is.
The way I see it, from a basic perspective, they took one of the most liked iterations of Godzilla, the Heisei version, slimmed down the thunder thighs while keeping him powerful looking.
The skin texture is much more like tree bark than even the Toho versions....sure there are other visual surfaces we've yet to see, but the back in that poster looks like a very durable skin.
The head is new but still represents the evolution of Godzilla. People complaining about the teeth, well there have been some version that had smaller teeth before, and the reality is while big ole chompers are nice, sometimes they can actually look a little dopey.
Dorsal plates, one of the bigger concerns I feel was addressed properly. They struck a balance within all all series, 3 proper rows, they have a size more inline with Heisei or Showa while having a spiky cragginess about them that is a bit Millennium without being too spiky. Plus they actually look like they are connected to the creature's spine or are just part of the spine.
Feet.....get over it, they are what they are and honestly I think they look fine and will serve the purpose and you probably will not see them too much anyway. Seriously, his feet being such a huge topic really does make me scratch my head simply because it's feet.....again I digress, if Godzilla fans saw the soles of his feet they would debate about that too.
In the end it's a perfect Godzilla design....because some will love it, some will hate it and MANY will argue over the bits they like and hate.
You must show no mercy, nor have any belief whatsoever in how others judge you... for your greatness will silence them all!
