Well it looks like they tossed it out to anyone until Feb 2nd. So you didn't need to be apart of the Ambassador program. I'd take this as a sign that they're trying to get GBA games on the 3ds eShop for the general population. From what I've heard, the Ambassador games play on the DS emulation software which negates streetpass and other 3DS functions. So hopefully they'll announce more games on the 3DS eShop along with the DS game on the WiiU eshop.

I'm playing "Grand Theft Auto 5" for the second (and not last) time.

I wish Trevor Philips was my dad.

So getting the Samus Figma has put me in a Metroid mood so I played through Metroid Zero Mission today. I haven't played it in several years, so it was a treat to finally replay it as it is such a great game. One of the last truly excellent Metroid games to come out. If it wasn't for DKC coming out on Friday, I'd probably start the first Prime game this week.

I decided to just go ahead and start the first Metroid Prime today even though I know I'll be playing DKC for like the next 2-3 weeks as I wanted to make sure the disc worked and everything. The good news is, it does. THe bad news is, I haven't played this game in so long that I kind of forgot where everything was. It is also taking me forever to get used to the Wii controller as this game definitely was not meant to have motion controls even though it seemed like it was a prime candidate for it. There are just so many fast moving enemies that without the lock on working as it should, it makes them a lot harder to even hit them when it shouldn't. I love seeing the game in widescreen though and in an upconverted HD, but I am starting to miss the GC controller.

After spending 6 hours on Wed in frustration of Metroid Prime's controls, I learned today that you can fix the ability to keep the auto aim as it was on the GC by turning off the option Auto Lock/Free Aim. I did not know this until someone said something to me on another board. I've spent the last 6-7 hours playing the game and I do not want to throw it out the window anymore. YAY!! I'm aiming to 100% complete the game like I did the first time I played through it on the GC otherwise I probably would have had it done by now. I just need one missile upgrade that I missed in the Chozo ruins and then I have everything I could get up to this point as I'm currently on my second venture through the Phazon mines (just got the Flame Thrower Plasma ability). God though, I hate the mines and am not looking forward to going through them.

EDIT:

I finished Metroid Prime 1 today with 100% completion. Oddly enough, the years have made Prime so much easier to beat as he was much easier than I remember. In fact, the only boss that was still a pain in the ass was the Omega Pirate. However, I had a moment where I wanted to scream at the game if it was insane or not as after I finished it, it asked if I wanted to save my data and erase all of my hard work with having to start over brand new. I was like, "OH HELL NO!!" and promptly pressed no because I am not losing my 100% completion data.

Still playing Bravely Default and The Witcher 2, more so of the former as it's really addicting one of the best JRPGs of recent memory. In fact the other night I was playing it and when I got done two hours had passed and I didn't even know it.

I love the new combat system that Default uses it's very innovative and makes a normally dull expierence fun. Do yourself a favor Kain and check out the demo on the eshop.

As for Witcher 2 coming to next gen as much as I'd love it to I don't see it happening, The Witcher 2 is on the PS3 and the developers did say they would be finding away to import your save into the PS4 version of The Witcher 3.
