Sledding! Third time in my life I've done it. Snow's a rarity here in Alabama.

My employer threw a baby shower for me and the wife today. With the baby coming in about 3 weeks (!!!), they brought in food, cake, and then gifts. I am really lucky to work where I do.

Not sure what is making my day. Yesterday was awesome, but ended sort of horribly. Today I feel kinda good because I've been taking care of myself much more as of recent. Staying away from carbs and sugar and eating more veggies and fruit. Been drinking a lot of tea moreover coffee (still can't resist coffee, but green tea is just as good). Also have started doing cardio, yoga, and fencing: all of which have been helping me both physically and mentally cope with things. I was 295 just a few weeks back, now I'm 276, which I feel is a enormous improvement. Just gotta keep pushing and hopefully I can get to about 255 at the end of the month. :) On top of that, I recently was suffering from some acne but I invested in some treatment and that's helping for sure. So yea, I'm starting to feel a lot better these days. It feels nice.

Hours have been incredibly bad since the first of the year but due to a co-worker in my department quitting and another on baby leave I've managed to pick up quite a few extra hours this week and for the rest of the month.

So I play Battlefield 4 with a few friends online. All of them have Premium so I decided to buy the premium service. Anyway while looking for a deal I accidentally bought BF3 Premium and Green Man Gaming does do refunds on Steam, Origin or Uplay games. Waste of $25 right? Well I make a post on reddit asking if anyone wanted to buy the activation code for $20 (I'd rather take a hit on 5$ over $25).

While got some inquires on it, some one sent me a code for BF4 Premium. No other message just the code. So I just gave the BF3 Premium to the first person who asked, no need to recoup any money.

Stuff like that gives me hope in humanity.

Wife surprised me with a couple of Ipad Airs. Lots of tablets on the markets, but Apple STILL makes the best ones. Highly recommended. I haven't put mine down all day and night.

My comic shop just got boxes of old toys, including a metric ton of 'mint in box' Trendmasters Godzilla stuff and - (drum-role) - an Old Shogun Warriors Godzilla! His rocket fist was missing, as were a few screws, but he was still a fun thing to hold and play with for a bit. The wheels still work and the flame tongue operates just like new. I spent a minute or so just playing with that last bit!

Fun, fun, fun

My 3rd period class started talking about the new Godzilla movie, at the same time they discovered I was a huge fanboy (luckily they had all turned in their assignments earlier) and we all just talked about Godzilla stuff. It was weird, but given 6 of the 8 periods I have a day are zoos displaying the entirety of human failure it was nice to have something pleasant happen.

That's awesome! The new film has gotten a lot of people at my school also and we even watched the official trailer in class once. It's great to see others that aren't fans get excited for Godzilla.

We beat out projections for the month: $506 million vs projected $474 million.
We keep going at this pace, I'm gonna get a FAT bonus check next year and be able to put a back patio on the house

So I mentioned all the trouble I've had with my school board and paperwork elsewhere....WELL the officials who handle the piece of missing paperwork responded to an e-mail I sent on the 28th and faxed a copy over to the school. I'm honestly thinking about making 100 or so copies and covering the desk of the person who lost my paperwork in the first place with them.

Yesterday would have been a great day but I didn't get to see one of my dearest friends, which sort of bummed me out.

However, it was pay day. I went out and bought a few CDs, a Memphis May Fire band shirt from Hot Topic, and then went out and bought two pairs of shoes. Also managed to find a Godzilla poster from Wal-Mart, which was awesome! Now I need to pickup a frame for it.

On Monday my girlfriend went through an outpatient procedure to remove the chemo port they put in the side of her stomach. Now she can sleep more comfortably and not have any issues from it when she goes swimming, at least after it heals up. And today one of our roommates was cleaning out the pantry and reorganizing things and found some old mail from before we moved. One of the letters was my girlfriend's tax returns from last year, so that'll go some length to help pay for the bills she's been accruing.

The doctors saw a shadow on my GF's latest scans and had to go in for a biopsy for it. She's supposed to be going on this experimental parp inhibitor but she needs to be clear of cancer for them to start it so they rushed the biopsy and tests on it. The biopsy was yesterday and were told we'd get the results in 3-5 days. We got it today. It was just scar tissue! She has been so nervous and worried about it, it is such a relief that it came out clear. I'd love to say we're out of the woods but until she's 2 years or so cancer free I can't say that for sure (if the cancer doesn't come back in two years or so most patients of ovarian cancer usually don't see a re-occurrence), but the forest isn't as dark, that's for sure!
