One of the problems with a character like this that has only ever existed in print, we dont know what he's supposed to sound like. I'm sure the characters creators had something in mind. But unfortunately I dont know if anyone went to Mantlo or Giffen and said "hey... in your heads, what does this raccoon from space sound like?"

Wolverine's first two appearances in animation were with an Australian accent, simply because nobody asked, or they thought people from Canada sounded Australian? .

Rocket Raccoon has been voiced by British Actor Greg Ellis in Avengers:EMH & Billy West for Ultimate Spider-Man. I dont know much about Bradley Cooper, but if he gets the part, I just hope he brings whatever the creators intended. I've always felt that characters that are animated or CG and pricipally need a Voice sould have Voice Actors specifically cast for those parts, but thats just me. It's not to say Stage/Screen actors cant give a good vocal performance, but why not leave it to the pros?

There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.

I always assumed an English actor of some sort, just based on his word choice in the comic. It felt like that's what they were going for, at least in some of the more recent appearances.

I'm not really familiar with Guardians of the Galaxy, except for what I saw on Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes I think. So far, is it looking like it should be a good movie?

I know little of the Marvel universe. I was never interested in superheros in general until I saw Iron Man, and even still, I've hesitated to delve into the expansive franchise.
That said, Guardians of the Galaxy has my interest more than any other film in 2014 (besides Godzilla, of course). I'm not familiar with the cast & crew either, but the concept sounds so bizarre, I can't help but think it will be loads of fun and a refreshing change of pace for the Marvel films.

I really have no idea how they're going to pull this off...each of these characters seems frigging bizarre enough to me to have his own film...

looks really fun...

...also looks like a flop in the making. Hope to be proven wrong, of course, but I'm stunned that this movie has been made...

DC: Take us seriously! Look we're dark and gritty and realistic!

Marvel: Here's a movie starring Burt Macklin Space FBI, Neytiri's smaller green bad-girl twin cousin, Bradley Cooper as a talking raccoon and Vin Diesel as a tree. Have fun!

Comic book or not, this movie is too damn wild not see. I hope it does well and encourages other studios to just revel in the source material no matter how goofy a premise it has.

I have no problem with the goofiness in the movie as long as it isn't like Transformers goofiness that is poorly executed. I think they just confused a lot of people with that trailer though.
