Lol except for that someone deleted my damn weed topic, haha.

Urrrggh, we should probably get this somewhat steered back to giant lizard gods.

Where should we venture to next?

I think I may have asked this before in the old thread, I forgot, but based on the script etc, what do you think the running time for the movie is going to be?

The way I see it, nothing will spoil this for me except if it's the final outcome, how it ends. The rest is neat to see where this was and where it ends up. Most important is how everything looks and feels.

Oh and the first reason I was warned was by adding a signature after my post. People lost their mind because I was respectful....the last thing anyone wants is my complete and divided attention...LOL

Hey Snow are there any hints or little easter eggs to the old series or things that would point to or could be brought up in a sequel?

I would say so. I wouldn't call them direct callbacks, but there seems to be all sorts of elements lifted from all kinds of different sources. Megaguirus ia the biggest one that I've noticed- there's a bit lifted directly from that movie.

Most of the other stuff would be described less as "references" and more like influences.

Donkun is extremely moody because there is a tiny bird that pecks constantly at the top of his head.

So any elements that could point to a sequel?

I think Godzilla living would be the most basic premise for any sequel.

It'd be interesting to have pterasaur fossils found In Alaska from 62 million years ago (mya) (three mya after the extinction) with MUTO remains and another site in Alaska yield giant pterasaur fossils from 7 mya. Like hmm...

Image

That could easily set up a sequel or have another set of fossils with (insert kaiju name here) and for some reason the MUTO organization does something stupid and multiple kaiju show up. IE: Maybe a mutated pollution-base sea creature like Dagarah or something entirely new. Maybe Anguiras from the atomic bomb tests the Russians did in Southern USSR.

I think that returning to the "fossils found in ice" thing is lazy writing for a sequel, honestly.

If they can't think of a more interesting convention than that to introduce new stories, I'd rather this film be a standalone.
