I remember an interview with Del Toro during the making of Pacific Rim, where he stated that he had been in touch with Edwards and the Godzilla crew in regards to the destruction of public landmarks.
The Godzilla people asked him to leave one certain landmark alone, because they wanted to destroy it in their movie.
So judging from the leaked script snippet above, I would have to assume this was NOT the golden gate bridge, as we now see it destroyed in both films.
However, I don't recall seeing any other notable landmarks destroyed in Pacific Rim, so possibly:
1. Pac Rim won the bridge from Godzilla in negotiations, and the scene above has been altered for the final film, or
2. Del Toro just ignored their request outright. In which case, it would be bizarre for him to even be mentioning it.
*EDIT*
Found it here:
"DEADLINE: Will you be involved in Legendary’s Godzilla remake?
DEL TORO: No, we made it a point so far not to discuss that. Our conversations are limited to this. We were planning a sequence on Pacific Rim and when I described it to Thomas Tull, there was a landmark involved and he said, that one is taken in Godzilla. You have to guarantee me you won’t stomp, burn or destroy X, because Godzilla’s already doing that."
