Looks like there are pre-orders up on Amazon now. Both listings of each film currently reflect "DVD" but with a slight price difference I'm guessing one is supposed to be the BRD. Its hopefully just an error that needs to be corrected

I said the Ebirah DVD's video looks faded and washed out. In fact, the video quality of the footage from that movie used on the Godzilla's Revenge DVD looks superior to Sony's DVD.

Subtitles have nothing to do with video quality, but I was talking about we need new subs for Godzilla vs MechaG.

Anyway, if Gigan is actually from Toho, maybe it means it will have these manga speech bubbles people keep saying are supposed to be there.

Since there have been some comments on the covers, i thought seeing a side by side with the previous releases would be interesting since i thought the original Gigan cover was pretty bad.

The Sony Gigan cover was terrible just because it did not even have Gigan on it, but Ghidorah's silhouette.

Sony had some cover art that was truly, perplexingly bad - but I didn't care: a decade ago the great picture quality and duel language option made it seem like Christmas every time one was released!

Those cheap, terrible looking covers were a great way to keep prospective buyers away from them. They looked like the sort of things you'd see from Good Times or Oldies, those type of typical PD DVD grindhouses. So if you weren't paying attention you'd probably assume they were crummy, scratched up pan & scan transfers, or straight from PD VHS sources.

These look great in comparison and are definitely at a great price point.
