Apple has just put up the trailer promoting Rialto Pictures' US theatrical release of the original Godzilla in Quicktime format! Since I personally hail from the UK I'd be lying if I said I wasn't just the slightest bit envious at US G-fans getting the chance to finally see the uncut Japanese version on the big screen. I've seen the original cut on TV before but we all know that the experience of watching a film on telly pales in comparison to that of being able to view it in the cinema.
And who knows, maybe this might even lead to a new dvd release of the film later this year too; one that actually features English subtitles!
You can view the trailer It would have been nice if it actually included some *footage* from the film itself but I guess it gets the message across well enough regardless.
