Congrats on the baby news guys.

This was yesterday but I hung with my cousin for the first time in forever and it was nice we went got dinner and he had to do some shopping. Also he asked me if I wanted to move in so come the first of the year I'll be off on my own so to speak. The rent will be cheaper than what I'm paying now. I currently live at home and as part of my rent I pay for the cable and the cell phones which adds up to about $600 a month; my cousin is charging half that. Plus I'll be saving a ton of money on gas; I currently drive about 20 minutes to work when I move in with him I'll be less than 10 minutes away from where I work.

^Awesome news, Tom! :)

So while I am still pursuing a transfer into USC for my M.F.A. in Film, I have been given an option to study abroad at Sophia University in Tokyo for a academic year. I would need to prep up to fulfill the whole requirements, so I wouldn't be officially considered until around 2015, but it is a very interesting option. I'm not entirely sure whether or not to pursue this, but only time will tell. :D

My girlfriend went in for the hysterectomy and demassing from her ovarian cancer. And everything went great, the doctors say. They expected to have more issues with it but didn't find any. So now with that nighmare over we can focus on the six week recover with chemo again and hopefully have life back to normal by February.

Our roommates texted me the news while I was at work and had to work my ass off not to start bawling with joy.

Sounds like good news. I couldn't even imagine what an emotional roller coaster that must be.

I managed to climb around in my crawlspace without falling through the ceiling! Considering I've fallen through twice this is quite the accomplishment

So I've got an interview for a job next week, and it feels like it's more or less a done deal.
This is superb because I'm moving the hell out of my mom's place.
The benefits of this include:
Lessening of my depression
Potential for self esteem
A sense of autonomy
Peace and quiet
Not having to breathe cigarette smoke constantly.

So I'm pretty excited.

So I got the job. It's basically just a call center job, but it is employment! Now begins the gargantuan task of boxing up my collection. @_@

Finally got moved out but we don't have internet at the new house so that's why you guys haven't seen me posting at all. I'm currently at my parents house doing some home work and visiting with them so I decided to stop in and see what's up. I should hopefully have internet back up by the weekend if not early next week. Then I should be posting regularly again.

I sorta woke up with a different attitude regarding my recent receiver failure.
The way I'm choosing to look at it (and a major realization that hit home): I bought a new one without thinking about the dollar amount. I've more or less reached a place of financial independence and it feels pretty freaking fantastic.

Let's see how long that lasts though, with a little baby jelly on the way...

In other awesome news, she kicked me yesterday. Little *poot* right in the cheek as the wife and I were cuddled up watching a movie.

While I haven't gotten a full time job, I had an interview today for a long term sub position that is for the last 6-7 weeks of school at one of my favorite schools to sub for and got the position. Not only is it several weeks of steady employment, but it is also several weeks of experience. Also, the assistant principal said she is going to help coach me on my interviewing skills so that I can nail every interview I have for a full time position this summer.

I found out that several of my co-workers recommended me for a postion in Electronics which is where I'd be better at. I'll probably get the same amount of hours but I'll also be getting a pay raise so I'll still be making more money.
