So the rumblings continue for appearances if not matches for the WM30

Goldberg v Ryback is remote but Bill has not said no.
Hogan and Cena team in a tag match to cover for Hogan's not being able to do much
Sting v Undertaker is still a possibility
and The Ultimate Warrior may be inducted in to the HOF, though a match not likely (even though he's still in great shape and has not taken the abuse for all these years) Potential run in or something like that is possible though.

Just getting this collection into the event, even in limited roles would be huge for the 30th anniversary show. NOT for long term (outside of Sting)

No matter what though, I doubt they end the streak, he's got to retire with that in tact unless Taker himself wants to put someone who is deserving and special over and that is not a Cena, Lesnar or anyone I can think of on the roster. If they didn't put Michaels, HHH or Punk over, then who would they?

BTW, Sting has already beat Kane....
You must show no mercy, nor have any belief whatsoever in how others judge you... for your greatness will silence them all!

I don't expect Sting to beat Undertaker, but I would not be surprised if they put him over Undertaker. He's probably the only other dude out there that still wrestles regularly that is considered legendary.

Mitsuharu Misawa? He's dead (Don't care what anyone says, Misawa vs Undertaker would have been an awesome match simply for the WTF factor).

Kenta Kobashi? Retired. Terry Funk? He wrestles irregularly. Same with guys like Choshu Riki, Vader, and Tenryu. Same with Kawada.

Eh... well maybe Ultimo Dragon. He's definitely still a regular wrestler that is considered legendary. He was pretty over in WCW and whenever WWE decided to give him some focus. And he's performed in just about every single major promotion in the entire world. But he's nowhere near as big a star as Undertaker or Sting.

So Sting definitely takes the cake. I'd love to see that at WM30. Hell, I'd pay for the PPV something I haven't done in YEARS if that match was on the card.

I love, LOVE the Undertaker. He's my favorite wrestler of all-time...

...but I kinda wish he woulda lost to CM Punk last year. If Undertaker loses to someone at WrestleMania, I want it to be someone for whom the accomplishment will mean SOMETHING and be one of the top one or two moments in his career. Someone like Sting, or rumors of Cena, whose done so much else, it would just not feel as special to me.

Superstars who I'd be more or less cool with beating 'Taker right now:
CM Punk
Daniel Bryan
Sheamus (MAYBE...I dunno, I flip-flop quite often on Sheamus. I think the company just kinda misuses him though. I'm kinda hoping when he comes back he can have a solid run as a heel)
Kane (he doesn't have a lot of lengthy or memorable championship runs, this would really be a highlight of his career)

Others who I wouldn't be pissed about, unless they went on to have a nothing career the rest of the way would be: Cody Rhodes or one of the Shield members (I think Ambrose and Reigns have the most potential for solo careers).

I guess I could be okay with Sting, he doesn't exactly have a ton of signature WWE moments...

It's tough though. Undertaker is basically a living legend, it's difficult to imagine people being worthy of taking out the streak, while also envisioning it meaning something substantial for them.

Reigns is supposed to be going face soon they've been teasing it for the past few weeks. I personally was hoping Punk would have gotten the win last year but oh well. Punk has become one of my favorite wrestlers as of late. I used to be a Cena guy but after he dropped the thug/rapper gimmick he started getting stale.

Don't forget WWE is also trying to get Stone Cold and The Rock to be part of WM30.

I had no idea Ultimo Dragon turned 47 today. He's still got it. Though he seems to be slowing down his career in order to train more students and run shows. Good idea actually. The Japanese leagues are in need of new blood, and Tanahashi can only do so much by himself.

I remember meeting him in Mexico back in the 90s while on vacation and was pleased to know he spoke Spanish fluently.

Tom, I had no idea WWE was trying to get Stone Cold for WM30. I knew of the Rock though. He's been more than willing as the last few years have shown. What kind of angle or match would they do with Stone Cold though?

Not sure what the plans with Stone Cold are if they get him; I would assume him vs CM Punk which they wanted to do a few years back when they started up Tough Enough again.

I'd love to see Austin again. He hasn't had any interaction with WWE since the last Tough Enough a couple of years ago. I'm still hoping against hope for a Sting WWE run. What's his status with TNA? Last I saw, he was part of that Main Event Mafia crap.

Edit: Just read that Stings contract is up January 1, 2014.

Holy crap Wrestle Kingdom 8 is probably the best Wrestling PPV I've seen in a while.

The opening bout had a lot of quick paced action.

The main event well, lol I knew what the end was gonna be. I mean, of course Tanahashi would win. Stan Hansen and Harley Race made appearances too.
I'd go Crow version. That would be right up WWE's Hype alley. So let's see... Brock is back. And he's going to be in the Title picture. Batista's coming back in a few weeks. Looks like the Road to Wrestlemania is starting to heat up a little bit. This is setting up perfectly to add Sting to the roster. I need to go back and refresh my memory as to why Sting never wanted to go to the WWE after the WCW buyout. Anyone here have a quick refresher? I really do not understand why he would be so reluctant to go to WWE. I guarantee you Vince and Co. would make the same accomodations for him like he does with other wrestlers of his stature. (Undertaker and Shawn Michaels comes to mind)
Because he saw how they treated former WCW talent. What happened to Booker T is proof enough (the entire angle leading up to Wrestlemania against Triple H and the end of the storyline was just stupid).

Apparently current "rumors" have Undertaker wanting a match with Daniel Bryan.
With Daniel joining the Wyatt family recently, I could see this happening.

Maybe after his match with Taker, that could "break" the spell.

Of course if they can get Sting, that would be awesome.
I know Lex Luger wrestled against "Mean" Mark Callous at least one time, so it's possible that Sting did.

I'd be okay with Bryan taking out The Streak. Given that he may never get a legitimately awesome title run (like CM Punk's longest-in-25-years reign, or John Cena's every-other-title-change-is-mine reign for the past 10 years), it could be the type of thing that makes his career.

Daniel Bryan has zero chance of ending the streak. No way Taker would job to someone who's a foot smaller than him...... I know Taker was suppose to have Brock but the officials are scared Taker would get hurt. So maybe Cena and Taker..... at the very least, people would believe there is a chance of the streak ending at Wrestlemania.
