Man, I love the subtle changes they made to the roar in the new trailer. The end is a little more warbly than what we heard in the first trailer.

I have a feeling we'll see more of the "Airport Scene" in the full trailer later.

It's called building suspense. If you look at the massive support coming out from this trailer, a big component of that is how subdued, and therefore more horrific it is compared to other modern BWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMM trailers.

Ok some speculation on my part.....

We know Mr and Mrs Brody (Cranston and Binoche) are married, so what I think is that they work for M.U.T.O. along with Serizawa, probably under false pretenses (Though Serizawa could be working on genetic mutations) when all hell breaks loose and one or more of the creatures escapes (Watanabe scene looking at the hole leading to the surface) During the breakout, they have a contamination leak that Binoche attempts to correct....Cranston knows this and is seen running to where she is while the smart people run away. When he gets to her he realizes that M.U.T.O. would rather sacrifice her (and probably others) instead of letting the contamination spread leaving her to face Cranston one last time before her fate is sealed.

Having endured the loss of his wife and suddenly being reunited with estranged step son (I can't remember) who was always leery about M.U.T.O.'s intent they work to save the world from the threat of the monster attack (it is also revealed that through Serizawa's work that the sinkholes were being used as incubation locations for these creatures and which caused the sinkholes themselves.

The one thing nobody predicted was the return of a monster long thought to be a myth (flashback scenes from 1954 of unexplained destruction on a remote island) became reality and mankind's only hope against this monstrous threat.

Legendary "blew it" so badly, generated so little buzz, that the search "Godzilla trailer" has been trending on Yahoo all day, AND "World Gets First Look at New Godzilla" is their top headline story right now.

What a horrible job they've done!

My phone did not do this trailer justice. This looked amazing in HD! Definitely felt the sense of urgency they were going for with this. I'm not sure what people are complaining about. It's definitely Godzilla, even if it isn't the version you were hoping for. We see enough of Godzilla to get excited but still want to see more. I'd rather get teased before the movie opens than see the whole thing now. I AM EXCITE!!
