I think this flick just looks like a frickin' mess of Epic Fail proportiions. The only good thing I can say about it is that at least this time they "fixed" the shartastic Spidey suit from TASM1, but this one looks to simply be the Raimi suit, with MacFarlane-sized eyes. Not a bad thing, but it certainly does nothing to make this second go round stand apart from the first trilogy.

And for sh!ts & giggles I was zooming around the web on my lunch break, reading various comments from several website regarding the release of the first offical TASM2 trailer. I'd say about 70%+ of the responses are ranging from "meh" at best, to "utter garbage" type posts. I have a feeling that unless a miracle happens, Sony's reboot for Spidey is headed right into the crapper. I predict a decent-to-large opening weekend, but then it's gonna rocket downhill faster than Clark W. Griswold.

Trailer looked good to me; so many Easter Eggs in it.

The movie looks balls to the wall crazy. How is this movie going to have a coherent plot with so many villains? Also, Dr Ock arms and Vulture wings? Yeah, sure let's just show that right in the trailer. Let's not save anything for the actual movie.

I hope they cut most of the parent storyline in the most awkward way possible like the first one.
Really the thing that bothered me the most in this trailer was Spider-man fighting Electro in some enormous tron-like power plant that apparently stretches for many many blocks

So, the cutscene from the video game at the end of the trailer...where is that supposed to be taking place?

So they have this series planned for 4 movies but are just going to toss in as many villains as possible into this thing?

Next thing you know, DC will decide to just jam pack the Man of Steel sequel with as many characters as they can. Oh wait...

^ Let's face it. Spider-Man 3 left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Do you think they rebooted the SM series too soon? It was just 5 years in between. I don't know. I understand everyone dissin' this entry. It's probably warranted. I grew up reading The Amazing Spider-Man comics in the 70's though and it was my favorite ones to read. will I be there on Day 1 to see this? Probably not. But I will check it out. But as someone else posted above, this movie has so many Easter Eggs, that it will tend to leave most people very curious.

I'm honestly seeing nothing that interests me enough to bother with it in the theaters, so unless it rates 75%+ on Rotten Tomoatoes and everyone I know who's into these types of films gushes & raves about it, I think this one will be a rental for me, or at best a used Amazon purchase.

I think the video game is being ignored for the film franchise because
