So the Wonder Woman casting has been announced. I hope she does a lot of muscle building before the movie because she looks a bit fragile in the shots I've seen so far. Also I can't believe DC would let Zack Snyder be the one to introduce her... I think (after seeing what he thought female empowerment was in Sucker Punch) that this will only further set back the character that should be DCs goto heroine...

This sucks, IMO. Wonder Woman should be introduced in her own movie first, not as a third banana in DC's rush job to catch up to Marvel.

And the actress that has been cast A. isn't very good and B. Looks like she's going to snap in half is someone sneezes on her.

I'm no DC fanboy or anything, and I maintain my stance (which was deemed HIGHLY inaccurate) from a couple years ago, that audiences don't really know who Wonder Woman and the Flash are anymore....


...but that's precisely why I think Wonder Woman needs her own film. Audiences don't just know who Wonder Woman is. You need to re-introduce her to people, prove she can carry her own storyline, etc, etc. I'm hoping the actress is just a cameo in this movie or something, just a bit of world building, because if Wonder Woman appears in this film playing a third-wheel, it will be a bad move.

Between this HORRID bit of casting news and the Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer I choaked through earlier, this is shaping up to be one of the most disappointing days for fanboys in recent memory.

In additon the fact that they are shoehorning one of DC's big 3 into an also-ran bitpart in a sequel to a less-than-awesome Supes reboot... My gut response to seeing who they cast as Wonder Woman was just one, big

I mean seriously? Who in the hell made this call and what the frick were they smoking? The annorexic pipsqueek they've chosen is the very antithesis of the curvy Amazonian warrior we all know. Hells bells, they'd be better off putting Lynda Carter back into her bustier. She's still hot and at least has the figure to fill out the costume. There are so many other woman who are better actresses and definitely better-built for the part. Dear God in Heaven.

^IMO, if your name isn't Batman or Superman, you, as a DC character, are sadly destined to fail it seems, in your own solo movie. And sadly, that's just the way it is right now. I have mixed feelings about Wonder Woman. I'd like to see her in her own movie also. But I think it would suffer the same fate as Green Lantern. I personally think they're doing this the right way. Introduce WW in a Superman/Batman movie, see how she is received by audiences, and go from there. Now, Gal Gadot as WW?!?! That's entirely a whole different conversation. Hell, I still would've loved to have seen Lucy Lawless portray her. It is what it is though, and all I can say is they better put this girl on a high protein training regimen to play this part.
