I half agree with the good doctor. Movies like Sharktopus or a lot of Asylum films that try to be "so bad that they are good" are normally garbage... HOWEVER there are films where everyone involved looks like they really trying and are completely oblivious to how bad the film is (The Giant Claw, Troll 2, Deadly Prey, etc) that are so bad they are good. .. Its like you can't set out to make a movie with a cult following, it has to happen naturally

Well I guess I was lucky since the only Godzilla movie I need on DVD is Godzilla '85.
Of course adding in Mothra to the mix we still need Rebirth of Mothra 3.

I don't have any of Shout! Factory's Ultra releases or Johnny Sokko but I'm very satisfied with their DVDs of the Showa Gamera films. They included the Japanese versions and the picture looks great, much better than the bargain bin crap that we were stuck with here in the States for so many years. Some of their subtitles have issues but that's really my only qualm with them and it doesn't ruin the viewing experience for me. Even the 'MST3K vs. Gamera' set is stellar.

If S!F got their hands on some Godzilla titles and put out DVDs on par with their Gamera releases, I'd be satisfied, and if they did a better job with the subtitles, all the merrier!
