New Toho Godzilla Series after Legendary

Well when I was over there the Godzilla Pachinko game was pretty popular. I agree a few Godzilla suitmation shorts or a cartoon/anime may help get the attention of younger audiences or/and fans that are still out there. Also for the 60th anniversarry Toho should remember to do something for it. Maybe release the Godzilla and Wolfman fan film like it was suggested or do a few little shorts or other events.

Banno's recent interview with universe g indicates that he plans on still doing the gvhedorah 3d remake/sequel after G'14.
I think he's looking at a 40 minute IMAX 3d film that may build on the success of this while preaching an environmental message that would make it suitable for a number of smithsonian museums and otherwise worldwide. Wonder if it could be a ride or if that run time would need to be cut down?

That pachinko game looked fun. I never played pachinko while in Japan but was invited to a pachinko parlor. Should've gone but had an exam the next day and was low on yen for gambling.
It'd be cool if we finally get godzilla vs Gamera

I hope the guy never gets to make a Godzilla movie again. He seems too ham-fisted and hell-bent on his environmental approach.

As long as gojis not flying I'm ok with it. Hedorah was a truly frightening opponent. And Banno's done good work. That scene however was simply too ridiculous and though I've tried to excuse it as godzilla using the eyes for propulsion momentarily, or hedorahs gasses causing the atomic ray to function like a space shuttle combustion it's hard to write off. I met Banno at the 04 gfest and said a few words in Japanese. He was a very pleasant individual and happy to meet fans. If its only a short IMAX film i don't think he could do much harm, and has a higher likelihood of spreading godzilla to the educational smithsonian type venue with his enviro approach. If anyone can make such an enviro goji short I'd think he's the guy. Maybe next someone can do a historical IMAX warning on the dangers of nuclear ambition.

I don't squirm over environmental messages, I just hate when they get in the way of the movie itself (ie, Godzilla vs. Mothra 1992).

I'd LOVE for Banno to get to make a little Godzilla vs. Hedorah 2. I wonder if it'd be weirder or more reserved now that he's in his old age.

I know because I been to Japan the Japanese don't want to change or they have very hard trouble admitting something is being done wrong. But I think with new blood Toho could make a decent series. Some shorts would be fun and a good way to get him back in the public eye after the Legendary film. And that girl who doesn't know who Godzilla is, must be a rarity, because i have met tons of my wife's teen cousins who get it.

I'm not so sure if Toho will do a Godzilla series after Legendary get done with it. It might be years before Toho does a Godzilla movie.

I will say it again, we will NEVER Get another Godzilla feature film from Toho studios ever again.

Anime, tv show, shorts? Yeah possibly. Movie? Nope.
