Started and beat Spider Man The Edge of Time. It was a decent game but REALLY short I think I put like 5 hours into it maybe 8 max.

My only complaint with EoT was that it was short; really short. I started it Sunday Night and finished it last night. Still a decent game with an interesting story.

I know but still if you're going to be paying $60 for a game then at least make it so you get a decent length story. I didn't pay $60 for EoT I got it used off Gamefly for about $10 but still I'd be pretty pissed if I got a game and paid full price for it and only got 5 hours of play time out of it.

Honestly, I'm sort of bored with most games these days. The last game(s) I played regularly was Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty: World at War because I was in a clan that played competitively. That really never got old.

The last RPG I played was Final Fantasy 10, but since I watched my brother play most of it I never really finished it.

So I beat Arkahm City the other day, still doing a few side missions. I still like Asylum better. The idea behind the story is great but the execution wasn't the greatest. Batman is just pinballing from villain to villain until the face off with the Joker. The huge amount of villain in City made them wasted potential. Two-face had less screen time than in The Dark Knight. The Catwoman game play felt like it was there just to tack on an Ivy fight and completionist Riddler trophies. And I know most people know the Joker, but if Ras Al Ghul is in the game, he should have been the true "villain". The villains in Asylum made sense and had enough weight to them to not be glorified cameos. And there wasn't enough varity in the city. Other than the industrial area/Joker's place I could only tell who's part of the city I was in by looking at the masks or attire of the thugs I beat up.

And all the gadgets in Asylum seemed to be more useful. In City you get a new gadget use it to get past one section or so, and then it's just a tool to get trophies you couldn't get before. In Asylum it worked much like upgrades in Metroidvania games, accessing and traversing new areas, short cuts to old areas. But being an open world diminishes those aspects.

Its definitely not a bad game, it's feels great to glide about the city and bounce around between thugs fist first. But I preferred the first more, like a half a start difference between the two.

Using some vouchers I picked up Civ V gold and some DLC for less than forty bucks. We played on the easiest setting because neither of us are really strategy game players but the night went like "It's only 10pm, we could start a game and see how it is." .... "Is it really 5am already?"

God what a fun time sink.

I'm almost done with Dead Space 3 and really enjoying it, not sure why it got bad reviews; sure most of the game feels like a hybrid of JC's The Thing and the first AvP movie but it still decent and has a better story than the first AvP movie. The only thing I'll give it flack on is the ripping off of The Thing.

I actually liked AvP-R more than AvP. My only complaint with AvP-R was that it STILL took place on Earth. Hopefully some day we get a proper AvP film that takes place in the future.

I think AvP was the superior movie because at least it had a plot and some character development. AvPR just decided to through random characters just for us to watch die and the scenes were too dark to even see the battle footage.

Beat Dead Space 3 and the ending was okay final boss was kind of easy compared to the past games. I hope they do a 4th or at least a trilogy thing on next Gen systems.

Started Pikmin 3 which I got in from Gamefly today; not sure what to think of it the controlls seem kind of clunky but it sure is pretty.

Picked up Metroid Prime Trilogy not to long ago, Gamstop is getting "used" copies in for $60. Man do I love these games. So good.

I'm hoping the Metroid Prime Trilogy gets an HD update on the Wii U; the gamepad would make it so much nicer to play the games with.

Funny enough, at the Best Buy I worked at, the game was not selling and was discontinued in the system, so I put all 3 copies we had on the clearance Half Price AND Buy One Get One Free rack. It took a month for them to sell and I passed on it because I already own them on the GC/Wii and the first game is really the only truly amazing one. The other two are just good supplements.

While everyone else was picking up XB1's I got a Zelda 3DS XL bundle with digital download of A Link Between Worlds. Money well spent. The system feels great, although the "joystick" slider thing took a bit of time getting used to. I think I may pick up a circle pad pro if I pick up Monster Hunter.

As for A Link Between Worlds, its absolutely great! The return to A Link to the Past's world map really brings out nostalgia but there's enough differences to make it not stale. I love the freedom they give you as well. Get through the first three dungeons and they mark the next seven on the map and just let you decide where you want to go next. I really hope the next console Zelda goes that route, which it's sounding like it will be. I just can't wait to search every nook and crany for every single heart peice and upgrade.

Also every thing I've seen on Super Mario World 3D makes me really want to get a WiiU as soon as possible.

Well, it took me 18 months, but I have finally completed Minish Cap. Now I can start playing ALBW.

I started ACIV on the Xbox One and will probably start A Link Between Two Worlds tomorrow on my lunch break.
