There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.

Well, I thought Smallville did decent versions of characters (Brainiac/Lex/Bizarro). I don't really LOVE smallville, but I liked it.

I was just sort of "meh" about Arrow. So I don't have high hopes for the show.

wait, wouldn't you RATHER have The Flash try to be his own thing instead of getting backdoored into another universe? seems like this is GOOD news: CW trusts in The Flash enough to have it attempt to be its own show instead of just part of Arrow.

Looks like the Flash to me!

I just got done with Season 1 of Arrow and I really dig that show, so I'm looking forward to this.

Ugh!!! Jesus, really? You'd think they'd be able to do a better job than this. By comparison, the 1990 Flash costume is lightyears beyond this thing. Just... Ack! Looks like a super dork instead of a superhero. *SIGH* Chalk up another FAIL from the clueless nitwits at DC.

How does that not look like the Flash? He looks like a runner, not some bodybuilder like he did in the previous show.

I think this Flash looks just fine. So he's skinny? So what? Flash was never SUPER buff in the comics. Flash has a similar build to Spider-Man. He's in shape, but he's not a body builder. Besides, this is the Flash origin, so a younger, skinnier Flash is fine.

And yes, I'll take the new Flash over this:

Jinzo, what do you think of Arrow? THey are using the same suit stuff for Flash as they do for GA.

Anyway, except for wanting yellow boots, he looks great. He looks like what Flash would look like in the real world. Flash works for CSI in Central City. He is NOT a steroid body building knuckle dragger. He should not be muscled out. However, the writing of the show is the important part. If the writing is bad, then this will be bad. If it can be at least as good as Arrow, then this is going to be amazing.

1990 Flash = comic book.
2014 Flash = comical shnook.

Agree that writing is as important. The kid is young & skinny, which isn't so much an issue to me so much as the fact that the suit looks like something snagged right off the rack. The mask/cowl is form-fitting, but the rest is loose & baggy?!? Spider-Man is a skinny kid, too... but at least his superhero costume fits him properly. Show me some comic book pictures where The Flash's tights are drawn all loose and hangy, like the suit in that pic. How is something that non-formfitting going to stay on The Flash's body the first time he zooms off at hyper speed? Those loose rags would be ripped right off. To fit in with today's youth, I suppose the waist of the pants in back will hang halfway down his buttcheeks, with his underwear sticking out the top? Well, at least they actually gave him a suit, of sorts, and an honest-to-God mask, instead of shying away from the source material like Smallville did and saying "no costume" so we can all "take it more seriously" or whatever. Blah. Haven't we all learned by now that it's perfectly OK to have costumed heroes? Costumes don't take away anything, and in the case of comic book hero characters, the clothes DO make the man, or at least a good part of him. Again, I reserve to make a more final judgement when we see the suit in motion on film and with some FX for super speed, but I feel it looks bad. IMHO.

Would you really want to run in something that is completely tight to your body? Unlike Spider-Man, Flash runs, he doesn't jump around everywhere and swing. ANd the 1990 Flash costume looks nothing like the comic either.

BTW, there is nothing wrong with the N52 Flash design. Unlike some of the other characters, his costume was barely changed.
