I'm so glad LP and Edwards settled on Bagan and Red as the foes for Godzilla in the movie. It's nice that SOMEBODY listened to what the fans wanted.

I think we're all hoping for the ffollowing:
Someone sees Godzilla and is a lone witness. He describes Godzilla to a.sketch artist. The artist sketches a 1954 Godzilla. Everyone laughs at it, says it's dated looking almost like some guy is wearing a cheap rubber suit, and would be better if (and then a list of improvements).
That's the only way to know how much better this is and how stupid we've all been for liking Godzilla to this point.

Just got my new LCD projector today and plugged it into the laptop, pulled up the hi res trailer number 1, threw it up on my 10x10 screen in the back yard....

Hell yeah!!

Bring on the official trailer! Who needs to go to the movies!

All for 190 bucks!!!

Ugggghhhh... thanks for reminding me that that scene is in the new Robocop. The saddest part is that the original Robocop actually had a wonderful design and the new one looks like poo. Gareth Edwards going on about how he wants his Godzilla to stand next to all the Toho ones and fit in is as different a sentiment as we could hope for.

I think the sculpture work is fantastic, but the design is a little too GINO like for me and there is a total lack of shoulders. The face is pretty menacing and I do like that part of it.

Why do all the fan designs look less like Godzilla then the actual Godzilla design we're getting?

There are some cool aspects of the design and some I could go without...

The neck seems too long and much to wide, but the skin texture is pretty cool and I could deal with the spikes if they were bigger.

Eh, it's just a fan design, but it's pretty cool work. I actually like this design to the Always 2 version...not a fan of that one (but that part of the movie was pretty cool).
