Rich Eso did a review on the second 25cm 74 Mechagodzilla with Secret base. I had skipped this release since I already had the two previous 25cm Mechagodzilla figures, and the secret base seemed like it would take up way too much space... anyway i hadn't seen how the base turned out, so i was quite shocked to see that it was just the packaging.

Other than the paint jobs, how do the two 74 compares?

I know a lot of people were critical of the stance of the original as too squatty. I liked it other than thinking the paint scheme was too dark. Ideally the new paint on the old stance and maybe the updated head sculpt would be the perfect X-Plus 25cm 74 Mechagodzilla

SciFi Japan has product specs and high-res photos of X-Plus’ Toho, Kadokawa/Daiei and Tsuburaya Pro giant monster figures scheduled for release in late November 2013.

Apperantly X-Plus has started a "Gigantic Line".

Just Wow.

Thanks for posting about the gigantic line - That's the same sculpt as the Kaibutsuya GMK kit from a few years ago, looks great!
The future is big, sparkling warble of superclean and we should endevour to do our best to wash our feet by it.

Thank you,

I love the concept of the Gigantic line, but I'm not crazy about the face on the sculpt. It'll be interesting to see what else they do in the line (I think they have another line of Godzilla figures that has only had two figures released)
For the price this falls into skip territory for me.

I consider it an "artistic" piece (how many 100% suit accurate figures can one person have) so, much like Marmit and M1 I can see the appeal. Kind of like the Honey Bones kits.

Painted shots are up for Gamera 3 and G'99... looks like G3 has the burning arm... i hope that's just an accessory and that it also comes with a "normal" arm

This is without a doubt one of the coolest X-Plus figures I have ever seen!!! WOOOW!!!!

This is from:

This may not be totally accurate as the article suggests, but it is an incredible sculpt with a dynamic and frightening posture. This is truly an evil Godzilla!

I must confess that I don't own a single X-Plus figure due to their insane prices, but if I could ever afford to get one, this would definitely be it! Double and triple WOW!!!!

The 25cm GMK Godzilla on the left was the first X-Plus figure i ever bought... and i was hooked on the 25cm line from there. Here's a picture of it next to the Ultimate Gino figure (the largest figure i own)
