So, now that we've seen more of Godzilla...what do you guys think as far as collecting goes?

So far, confirmed releases are:
-A standard Bandai line
-A Sideshow Premium Statue
-Neca 18 inch figure

You can pretty much bet that there will be a Monster Arts figure too.

So, for me.

I don't have any shelf space left, and I don't plan on adding any either. I DO, however, have a foot locker in my collectibles room. I can put several figures on top of it and it will look just fine.

If I do start collecting things from this movie....I'd probably go all out.

I could see myself getting the Sideshow statue, standard Bandai figure, and a Monster Arts. I'd still have room to add other monsters in the sequels (not planning on collecting any new monsters for sure)...presumptuous as it is, I'd add standard Bandai figures of Mothra, Rodan, Anguirus and King Ghidorah if we get them in possible future sequels to this film.

Hopefully CCP and or X-Plus will be able to make a Legendary Goji at some point.

I'll probably get the SHMA figure and maybe a bust from Slideshow not a full statue though. Also going to hold off to see what X-plus does too.

I'd be surprised if there were a lot of Japanese releases for this. Look how few came out for Gino...and most of those came out years later. I'd expect the rights to be pretty well tied up for the first few years and those have been announced already.

I'd say we will probably see a MonsterArt and maybe a candy toy, but I would mostly expect the U.S. line to just be released with Japanese stickers or some such on it.

So the first Bandai Japan releases for March were announced, they appear to be transformer types that turn into eggs... probably will be a generic Godzilla rather than G'14.
