I really would argue the soshingeki godzilla costume is one of the most iconic costumes in the series simply because of how many movies its been in. I mean almost every Godzilla costume is iconic, but I'd argue that suit and the megaro suits are the godzilla suits most people remember simply because of exposure. Not saying they are the best, just the most remembered.

Comic writer John Layman of the hit series "Chew" (also Godzilla: Gangsters and Goliaths) showed up for a signing in New York wearing a Godzilla shirt.



What i find particularly odd/interesting about this (clearly non-officially licensed) shirt is that most of the Godzilla's on it are based on either toys or model kits

I pulled this from of my Godzilla books, not sure if anyone can translate this, but i'm thinking its a reference to one of the Mothra larvae getting unceremoniously killed off between 'Godzilla vs Mothra' and 'Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster'

I always figured one grew up into an ineffectual adult Mothra (as seen in Sea Monster) while the other stayed a larvae. Sort of ...only one can rise to the adult form senario

In Ghidorah, the Shobojin mention one of the larva died, I was curious if any more was ever added then that

There are some people who think the adult Mothra in vs. the Sea Monster is the one that died in vs. Mothra. I don't buy it, but since Toho was playing it pretty fast and loose with the continuity by the time vs. the Sea Monster came along I don't think it really matters.
