idk, there were people on these boards that weren't impressed... reasons included creature design, CG, cliche characters and dialog, etc... and i even heard one guy say that they didn't like the film because kids would see it and be disappointed that other kaiju movies weren't as action packed, or something to that effect...some people were just being "kaiju hipsters" to quote MfW, but its like any movie, some people will enjoy it and others wont.

I loved it, i had a blast watching it and it is the only movie i have seen twice in the theater in the past 10+ years. So i got my bluray preorder

Yeah, twenty bucks is a tad much for a digital copy of the flick. I mean the DVD is the same price and for a few bucks more you can get the bluray. $10 would be a bit more reasonable in my mind.

Just so yall know, Best Buy will have an exclusive version (I think a Steelbook, actually) that has exclusive bonus features. Here's the cover for the BB version.

^Best Buy, WalMart, and Target are all getting store exclusive versions. I've not been able to suss out just what different special features there are (all claim to have unique ones) but I can say that WalMart has my fav cover art.

Now I'm hearing that Target and Wal-Mart also have special features unique to their discs? I don't know what's going on but I'm sure we'll find out more soon.

According to this thread, Best Buy might be the only one with actual exclusive content, which is a featurette on something called Cinema Now (I don't know what that is), and the rest appear to just be exclusive covers?

They'll have a "unique feature" which will be made up of random cuts from other features on the disc.

Seriously, these "unique features" on these "store exclusives" SUCK. Companies put these things out by cobbling together features from other releases and laugh, and laugh, and laugh at the RUBES that buy a copy from every store.
