There are no more good TV Shows, only ones that haven't disappointed me yet.

Great, let us know if they reply man! In the meantime,hHere’s my finished alternate cover for the RETURN OF ULTRAMAN boxset. At the moment, this is the final version, but I’ll probably make a few minor tweaks once I receive the set itself and add a few little specifics. Very pleased with it anyway!

That's a cool cover! I think the only way to enhance it is by including the sentence "because of thirsty" somewhere :D

No reply so far from VBG :? , this is their Facebook page in case someone wants to ask there:

Tokyo, a smoldering memorial to the unknown, an unknown which at this very moment still prevails and could at any time lash out with its terrible destruction anywhere else in the world.

Well, well, quite a surprise, VBG had released another Ultra DVD set which was not mentioned in the email reply to rortiz77 (Thanks again  ), and it's actually - Ultraseven.

Already got the Shout!Factory set, might get this for a comparison.

Man, I got this set last night, popped it in, and the video quality is horrible. So disappointed. I'm surprised, because the screencaps that were posted earlier looked fine... not perfect but fine.

As soon as the opening credits hit I saw the blocky compression artifacts... not surprising, since they squeezed so many episodes onto so few discs. It wasn't the worst I'd ever seen, but very noticeable. But then I noticed the double-imaging whenever anyone moved. It's the same sort of flicker effect that several people (including me) noticed on Shout Factory's Ultra-Q release, but on Ultra Q I only notice it during camera pans and when someone's running or something. On these Return of Ultraman discs I notice it constantly. I paused and did a frame advance during one scene, and there were far more fromes where everyone had "double features" (four eyes, two noses...) than when they actually looked right.

I made it about 15 minutes through the first episode and turned it off. It's pretty much unwatchable in my opinion. To make it worse, I got mine impulsively off of ebay and paid about $10 more than if I'd gotten it from skydvds.

I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned it... well, maybe someone has and I just missed the post. Are you all not seeing the same thing? I had almost ordered 2 extra copies to hold onto as Christmas gifts for my brothers, but at this point I'm glad I didn't.

Nobody else has complained about video quality, and I think most of us have it by now. It may just be your settings. I notice if I watch it on my HD TV, part of the top is cropped, but on my old 18" CRT, or on my PC its fine.

Ultraseven was mentioned a while back in this thread 8)

Is it worse quality than the domestic BCI Ultraman release?
