Ever since I was at Hall H, I've been racking my brain as to what the one new monster that was revealed could be based off....I mean it looked perhaps insectoid, but I could not find anything that I could say, OK this is what the creature is based off of.

My suspicion was they at least based it off an existing creature or something like a known creature, similar to how Godzilla is based on dinosaurs.

Then I found it....now the head and eyes are different and the body is less round viewed from the top and more tubular in shape but the legs and stance are very much similar to the new creature and funny enough, it's name also fits in the whole Godzilla universe....

Again, I know people said there were four legs, but I know there were more and this thing is a monster in it's own right. Again, it's not EXACT but a riff on this creature with larger, alien like eyes.

The reality is if you take the appendages out of the face of this guy, the head and eyes are very close to what I saw, coloring too so perhaps it is an amalgamation of the two, plus the legs and underbelly of this guy remind me of the dead creature in the 2012 teaser.

what are the possibilities if this movie hit it out of the park perhaps legendary could pick up other properties from japan.

So... how tall is the "crab" to Godzilla? I've read that it's pretty small compared to Godzilla.... like does it go up to only Godzilla's stomach or something?

Am I the only that thinks those spider crab legs are probably delicious? I'm sure Japanese people see that as a scrumptious meal, rather than scary nightmare fuel.
