Cool chart showing the difference between the different basic Godzilla heights. The monster in the new movie was roughly the same size as 1954 Goji. It's not just the height but the mass that's on a different scale all together. Now think how 1954 would have fared against Heisei and make 1954 a spindly clover like monster=as they say in wrestling terms "squash match!"

I realize that the chart is not movie by movie accurate but I posted it to give a size and mass difference between even godzilla designs. Now the creature seemed quite nimble so speed could be its only real asset.

Someone in the news claimed godzilla actually stepped on it which is false. The creature was at least Twice as tall as a nearby jet plane tailfin which of the 747 is over 65 feet tall so figure the monster was roughly 150 to 180 feet tall and came up to roughly Godzilla's midsection so Godzilla if it is to be slightly taller than the tallest which is 100 m or 334 feet is going to be around 350 feet tall.
