When it comes to Batman, Star Wars, Marvel characters, etc, you expect the characters to act and look like they are "supposed" to act and look, and they almost always do when it comes to any film or product made here in the US.
But there has always been a different standard with Godzilla.
Take a dinosaur like a t-rex, stick some kind of fins on the back, make him green, black, gray, whatever, and that's Godzilla.
Non fans don't seem to see the difference or think that it matters.
The lack of more info or pics from yesterday is probably stirring up memories from that same attitude that producers had with Godzilla 98.
The future is big, sparkling warble of superclean and we should endevour to do our best to wash our feet by it.
