So I actually whole heatedly approve of this design.

But I also have to point out as a somewhat tongue in cheek joke that it also reminds me a great deal of the T-Rex from CAVEMAN (81):

it's kind of irking me how many people don't seem to realize that the bust and the maquette are two different designs and not the same one.

It may have already been stated before, but on several sites it has already been said that the design that is used in the encounter (i.e. the Godzilla that peers in at you at the end of the encounter) is NOT the final design, but is close. I'm not too surprised by that. If I had to guess I would say that the design was the same or a mild variation of the Marquette which is quite bulky. From Takarada's description I expect something a bit thinner, but who knows. Saturday can't come fast enough!
