Is it possible that Takarada saw a fan design and mistook as the official one, or maybe he was doing misdirection??

That head sculpt is...well it jives more with what Takarada was saying. I hope it's not it, the Godzilla through the window from the Encounter doesn't look much like that. If anything, it looks like the marquette (the snout).

That marquette though, I love it. If that's pretty much how he's going to look, Sideshow and Bandai can take my money now.

I unabashedly love it and for me to be so fanboyish about something is pretty rare these days.

Here's another marquette or piece of art work (can't tell) that looks very much in the same line of design

For me, I really have a hard time believing the head sculpt/bust will be all the similiar to the final design. That's a pretty extreme, horrific Godzilla....

The marquette's skin tone seems to match Godzilla's through the window and the spines are we've been seeing over and over again since last year.

I know its just a silly little sign, but the fins here also line up with the ones on the maquette (which also looks a bit like the design on the SDCC shirt from a couple years ago)

Tsuburaya graffiti that says "Master of Monsters" (August must be pumped about that)
One of the shops is called "Suitmation" in kanji
The menu items, of course
"Extra bone powder available" (Pacific Rim reference)

This is just too fun. A bunch of my friends are gonna be there and I'm gonna be here all by my lonesome, going to work like a chump.

I love that cobra neck and the rest of the body's proportions. Very man-in suit ish, but also, the proportions are a little bit extreme so it's something that couldn't have been done with a man in suit.

What I really like about the design thought is that it conveys power and mass. Look at its legs, those are designed to hold that sort of weight. The feet, are almost elephant like, and I dig that. It makes sense. That's a very naturalistic looking Godzilla (just like how...love it or hate it, PJ's Kong is naturalistic as well).

I like how armored he looks. It's classic Godzilla, but it offers a little something new.

Someone needs to suggest to Tull at Comic Con, now that he's part of Universal...he needs to do a Creature from the Black Lagoon remake.

We have a "Realistic Kong" and a now a "Realistic Godzilla"...I want a Gillman done in this same style
