One thing I was impressed with overall was how the large amount of CGI didn't turn me off. (Despite all of the night time shots which were probably hiding a lot of problems).
Del Toro and Navarro and crews really know how to work with the medium to make it shine. A sharp contrast to that was the trailer before PR for Seventh Son which my immediate and visceral reaction to was "utter CGI crapfest".
Tools are tools and it just depends on whose hands they are in as to how good it winds up looking.

QFT... and is it just me, or is Jeff Bridges somehow under the impression that his mouthfull-of-marbles version of the Rooster Cogburn character in the True Grit remake a good idea to stick with??? I hope his parts are subtitled to help the rest of us understand him. :?

Maybe I am just wondering how they can make a Francise out of it? I can see a prequel like the comic but could it sustain a trilogy?
