'Godzilla feels like an independent movie'

Um, what?

I've studied Independent movies. I've been forced to watch Harmony Korine's Trash Humpers.

And Julian Donkey Boy. And Snowballs (thank god it wasn't what I thought it was. I would have punched everyone in the god damned theater if it was!)

I've been forced to watch these horrible films, bang my head against the wall and question why the hell would anyone throw money at these people?

Oh, and is Godzilla now gonna be shot using Dogma 95 style shooting? You know CGI isn't allowed in Dogma 95. Are they gonna make Godzilla out of the garbage they find on the ground with lots of shaky cam and no postproduction?

I know what an independent film is. And no, it's not gay cowboys eating pudding.

Godzilla is not an indi film, where did he get that from?
It's my opinion and I'm sticking to it!

I really like that the second story is a fishing vessel getting attacked. That's the state of modern technology: instead of SOS signals and radio warnings like in 1954, today a Godzilla attack would be covered by Twitter, CNN and Reddit (making fun of CNN).
